DOE Issues $1.44 Billion Conditional Commitment for Expansion of Montana Renewables in Great Falls
Calumet, Inc. announced to day that the U.S. Department of Energy has awarded a conditional loan guarantee commitment to fund the construction and expansion of the Montana Renewables renewable fuels facility in Great Falls, Montana.
The expansion would position Montana Renewables as one of the largest Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) producers globally with production capacity of approximately 300 million gallons of SAF and 330 million gallons of combined SAF and renewable diesel.

Calumet has been an outstanding manufacturing leader in Great Falls, investing hundreds of millions of dollars, creating new high wage jobs, and generating very substantial economic impact for the entire region and state. The proposed expansion is amongst the most important economic developments in the city's history. GFDA is proud to be one of the many supporters of the project.
