Good morning,

I want to inform you about the recent regulatory updates that will affect your business this year. The DOEE has recently changed its energy reporting requirements to include all DC businesses over 10,000 sq ft, with locations of 25,000 to 49,999 sq ft having to report for the first time by April 1, 2022. These businesses must submit 2021 energy data directly to the DOEE to comply with energy efficiency requirements by April 1, 2022. You can read about the new district benchmarking requirements here.

District Buying Power is the energy savings program selected by the DOEE and Mayor Muriel Bowser’s office. With the deadline quickly approaching, District Buying Power is here to assist by offering one year of benchmarking free of charge if you enroll by March 18th. To enroll for this free benchmarking service, please visit www.FreeDCBenchmarking.com. Remember, the DOEE will penalize those businesses that do not comply with the submission deadline of April 1st. Let us help you today!

We look forward to assisting you with your benchmarking needs and finding you the best energy rates soon.
