STORIES: THE ULTIMATE MULTI-TASKER
9 am - Noon

To reach your year-end fundraising goals, learn how to best tell your story via social media.  In the ever-evolving world of multimedia storytelling, it's hard to know which platform will best convey social impact, inspiration, education, or just plain entertainment. This intermediate lab will provide insight into various media platforms, their main use and how to leverage the uniqueness of each to provide a comprehensive and immersive mission-driven narrative for your organization. Participants will take an upcoming campaign of their choosing (year-end giving, special event, general-operating fundraising, mission information) and develop a plan to implement it, using storytelling techniques, uniquely on: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

CREATING A CONFLUENCE OF INFLUENCE: TELL YOUR STORY THROUGH THE PEOPLE WHO KNOW IT BEST
1 - 4 pm

In the busiest time of the year, learn how to make sure people see your stories on social media. Find out how to make your stories rise to the top during year-end giving and holiday overload.
This workshop will focus on the intersection of storytelling and social media, in regards to the "influencer economy." Learn what that is, how it works against nonprofits, and how you can leverage it to benefit your mission, specifically by working with staff and volunteers to create your own digital ambassadors - your army of storytellers to share why your work matters and how it helps.

Facilitator: Becky Holt, COTS; Ava Kelly, Good Done Well
