We are excited to send this email because it’s a big week in Hollywood. Tomorrow, on our country’s National Day of Prayer, The Hollywood Prayer Network is having two big celebrations in our community, celebrating our nation’s 250th Anniversary, The National Day of Prayer’s 75th Anniversary as an official US Holiday, and HPN’s 25th Anniversary as a ministry in Hollywood. WHAT A YEAR!! In the morning we’re hosting a Pastors and Ministry Leaders Prayer Breakfast. And then tomorrow evening we’re co-hosting with the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, a community-wide Block party and a night of Prayer and Worship. If you’re in LA then don’t miss this celebration!

THE FAMOUS GOLDIE HAWN!
We have to ask your forgiveness for a mistake we made in our last Call Sheet. We lifted up the amazing Goldie Hawn and called her “infamous.” What we meant, from the bottom of our hearts, is that she is FAMOUS, INCONIC, AMAZING. So, we heard from quite a few of you and immediately changed the typo in our Archived Call Sheet. But please know that this is what we meant and feel: “We want to pray that the iconic Goldie Hawn will find God's peace, joy and strength from Jesus in this season of her life and that He encounters her in a beautiful, powerful way.”

MELODY GREGORIO LEADS THE HPN PARENTS PRAYER TEAM
We want to highlight an amazing woman, Melody Gregorio, who leads our HPN PARENTS PRAYER TEAM! Melody is a faithful volunteer and her daughter is an entertainment professional. So, as she prays for her daughter, she gathers other parents from around the world to pray for their children who are pursuing careers in the entertainment industry. The HPN PARENTS PRAYER TEAM sends in prayer requests for their children of any age - from kids to grown adults - and an email goes out amongst the team members and they pray for one another’s requests. It’s a powerful group of praying parents and we hope, if you have a “child” in any area of the global entertainment industry, that you’ll join our team. DONNIE WAHLBERG & JENNY McCARTHY BECAME CHRISTIANS
New Kids on the Block founding member and star of Blue Bloods, Donnie Wahlberg, and his wife Jenny McCarthy have both recently become Christians. Donnie is the older brother of Mark Wahlberg, who is a devoted Catholic, and they are the two youngest of nine children in the Wahlberg family. Donnie, Jenny, and Mark are all very bold about their faith as great role models in our culture. Let’s praise God for their commitment and global impact as followers of Jesus in Hollywood.

VING RHAMES, STAR OF MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE, LOVES JESUS
Let’s pray for actor Ving Rhames, who has recently been hospitalized due to health complications. Ving is a committed believer who devotes his life to the Lord and uses his gifts and talents to shine a light in the world. He is widely known for his role in Mission: Impossible, but he also starred in Saving God, as Armstrong Cane, a pastor aiming to rehabilitate a community. We want to lift him up and ask the Lord to heal him, encourage him, empower him and expand his influence around the world!

REALITY TV PRODUCTION IS DOWN BUT OTHER FILM/TV PRODUCTION HAS GROWN
As we pray for work to expand in our industry we want you to know that work in Reality TV is down, but there is a slight increase in specials, dramas, TV series and features. So, we continue to ask the Lord to create more excellent, paying work, to supply industry families their daily bread and for struggling industry pros to find Jesus as they navigate unemployment, discouragement and fear! We trust in the God of the Universe for our provision and for those across our industry.

PRAY FOR DALLAS JENKINS AND HIS FAMILY
Dallas Jenkins opened up about his daughter’s chronic illness, his wife Amanda’s breast cancer and his own spiritual battles. We want to pray for Dallas and his family because spiritual battle is real and he is a target! We want to be a prayer covering over him and his family as he shoots the 7th and final season of The Chosen. It can only be fought with prayer, worship and praise, so let’s join them in fighting the spiritual principalities in the heavenly realms, and believe in faith, that God is already victorious and He is protecting Dallas.

BRITNEY SPEARS NEEDS OUR PRAYERS
We ask that you pray for Britney Spears who is still struggling with addiction. She just got arrested again for a DUI and is back in the press with judgement and gossip. Britney is a treasured child of her Creator and a human being trying to handle fame, wealth, broken relationships and unreasonable expectations. We, as Christians, have to remember that the industry’s celebrities live unnaturally stressful lives and our prayers can bring them to the feet of Jesus where He can heal, give peace, joy and a hope that will not disappoint them.

LEON PATILLO TELLS HIS STORY IN ALL IN
Let’s pray for the lead singer of Santana, Leon Patillo, who tells his story about his fame, his emptiness and his changed life with Jesus. His upcoming film, ALL IN, From Santana to Hosanna, will help lost, bullied and suicidal teenagers find hope in Jesus. Let’s help Leon by praying for his film to get great distribution so that he can help the next generation be victorious through the power of film!

EUPHORIA IS FOCUSING ON GOD THIS SEASON
Pray for the writers, producers, directors and actors of Euphoria who just finished Season 3 and the episodes started dropping last month. HPN does not recommend watching the show because of its intense sexual content, but we want you to pray for the direction they took on this season’s theme of FAITH. We don’t know any Christians on the show, but we want to pray that God will be portrayed truthfully and with love and beauty. The lead character, Rue, played by Zendaya, sets out to find out about her own belief in God. The focus on faith is very surprising to the series’ viewers, who know the show will continue to push the envelope with high schoolers who are trying to figure out life, sex and love. Let’s pray for God to change the hearts and lives of not only the audiences, but every person who worked on the show!

TONY ROBBINS AND HIS SON JAIREK
Let’s pray for speaker/author Tony Robbins, who has impacted people all over the world through his acting, producing and coaching. He used to identify as Christian, but more recently claims a more universal faith. However, his son Jairek Robbins just converted to Christianity so we ask that the Lord lift them both up, and encourage them with His unconditional love, hope and faith.

Our HPN member and friend Phil Cooke wrote an article about “getting ahead” that is an important reminder to all Christians in Hollywood. Whether you’re in the entertainment industry or not, read this for some wisdom and insight into the culture of entertainment, and pray that Christian professionals can understand these basic principles about how we can be successful here as followers of Jesus!
