Job Opportunity

CincyTech is a local seed stage venture capital investor. We invest in high tech startups with the potential to disrupt and re-shape markets. We also have a mission to engage and connect student talent to our startup companies to work on projects, find internships, and maybe one day start their own business. Startups are high paced work environments that offer a lot of growth opportunities to students looking to expand their portfolio of professional experiences. You can learn more about our student engagement at cincytechstudents.com.

We have up to four upcoming, paid projects with our portfolio company Clarigent Health.

Clarigent Health uses artificial intelligence and natural language processing to provide clinical decision support to mental health providers. Their patented algorithms analyze speech to detect vocal biomarkers – noninvasive, objective indicators of mental health states. Clarigent Health builds technology solutions to empower mental health professionals to provide better treatment for better outcomes. Learn more at https://clarigenthealth.com.

The four projects are:

1. Content Creation (1 to 2 students) -- You will work with Clarigent health for 2-3 hours a week for 6 weeks. We are looking for a student who is visually oriented to create marketing content such as social media posts (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook), a concept for our Instagram presence, and email campaign designs in Mailchimp. You may also draft blog posts and other written content for Clarigent's website or newsletter. You will work closely with our marketing team and contribute to the development of our brand image. This project pays $225 per student and is expected to take about 15 hours.

2. Marketing Channel Research (1 student) -- Clarigent has clearly defined target audiences. For this project, you will research and create detailed customer profiles by answering questions such as, what publications does the customer read? what conferences do they attend? what social media are they most active on? where do they do their research? You will contribute to our marketing strategy by helping identify specific channels for investment and will work closely with Clarigent's marketing and sales team to learn best practices for customer profiling and journey mapping. This project pays $225 and is expected to take about 15 hours.

3. Prospecting and Cold Calling (1 student) -- You will research prospective clients and be responsible for reaching out to the prospect to interest them in Clarigent's research. This project is ideal for a student interested in sales. You will learn how to identify prospects, research them to understand pain points and needs, and cold reach out. You will work closely with our sales team and Zoho CRM and contribute to our prioritization and management of prospects. This project pays $225 and is expected to take about 15 hours.

If you'd like to learn more, sign up for project notifications at cincytechstudents.com and send me an email that you're specifically interested in one of the above projects.

COLLEGE CORNER
Complete your 2021-2022 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Now!: All students must renew their FAFSA to continue receiving federal aid. You will need your FSA ID and your parents 2019 Tax information.

Spring Semester Registration: Be sure to schedule an appointment with your academic advisor to review courses you should register for in the spring. Any HOLDS on your account can prevent you from spring registration.

Midterm Grades: At this point all students should know where they stand in each class. If you do not, be sure to schedule an appointment during your instructors office hours. It is important that you know your status in each class as you head into finals.

SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) Guidelines: Each university may have slightly different policies regarding SAP, but overall students must complete 60-70% of all registered courses each year to continue receiving federal aid, which includes subsidized and unsubsidized loans, parent plus loans and pell grants.

Academic Resourses: Please use all academic resources available as you prepare for finals and final projects. It is not too late to sign-up for a tutor or seek out the writing center.
