National Alumni Portal Live

Dear Alumni,

The Cristo Rey Network national office, based in Chicago, is embarking on the movement’s  first National Alumni Association   to connect, engage, and mobilize over 18,000 alumni nationwide . They've launched an online portal, where Cristo Rey graduates will have the opportunity to:

  1. access career development and job placement opportunities at Corporate Partners
  2. build community at regional events, and
  3. engage in peer-to-peer mentorship opportunities.

You can create your profile on the portal at  cristoreyalumni.org .  If you have questions, please contact Alyse Faour at  info@cristoreyalumni.org .

We hope you take part in this exciting initiative!

FALL MID-SEMESTER REMINDERS

Complete your 2020-2021(Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Now!  All students must renew their FAFSA to continue receiving federal aid, FASFA renewal begins October 1, 2019, don't delay. You will need your FSA ID and your parents 2018 Tax information.

Know Your University and Academic Calendar
Each university posts important dates and deadlines such as: Course Drop/Withdraw Dates, Housing Contract Cancellation Date, Holiday Break Dates and Final Exam Dates. It’s imperative to note this information so that you can properly plan your semester.

Spring Semester Registration: Be sure to schedule an appointment with your academic advisor to review courses you should register for in the spring.  Any HOLDS on your account can prevent you from spring registration.

Midterm Grades: At this point all students should know where they stand in each class. If you do not, be sure to schedule an appointment during your instructor’s office hours. It is important that you know your status in each class before you head into finals.

SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) Guidelines: Each university may have slightly different policies regarding SAP, but overall students must complete 60-70% of all registered courses each year to continue receiving federal aid, which includes subsidized and un-subsidized loans, Parent Plus loans and Pell grants.

Academic Resources: Please use all academic resources available as you prepare for finals and final projects. It is not too late to sign-up for a tutor or seek out the writing center.
