The Dana Point Harbor Advisory Board has returned its first round of comments to the County on the Harbor Revitalization plans submitted so far by the developer, Dana Point Harbor Partners (DPHP). To read this community feedback on the plans to rebuild our harbor, read the news note posted by the DPH Advisory Board
here. If this is the first you are reading about this process, please catch up with our earlier newsletter
Most of the materials provided so far by the County and DPHP have pertained to the waterside marina redevelopment and operating plans. So naturally, most of the feedback offered by the DPH Advisory Board to the County was boater-focused and based on input from our Dana Point Boaters Association. As Harbor Revitalization plans are provided to the DPH Advisory Board for public review, our DPBA leadership undertakes close scrutiny of the plans on behalf of our boating community; we will continue to analyze and respond to the materials as they become available.

On Monday, October 22, the DPH Advisory Board will host another public presentation by the County and DPHP on their latest plans for our harbor. The meeting will take place at 5:00pm at the Ocean Institute. Please plan to attend to hear directly from the team which will redevelop our harbor and operate it for the next 66 years.
October will remain a busy month as we continue to receive and review Harbor Revitalization Plans and offer our analysis. We are giving special attention as you read this to the marina redesign and will offer our detailed assessment in the coming days. Check back often for details, and continue to watch the
DPH Advisory Board website for new documents to be posted.
And finally this... Your DPBA leadership team is committed to protecting and advancing the interests of our Dana Point boating community. We are your voice on all matters affecting our harbor. But we only succeed with your support. Your attention, input and moral support most of all. But also financial support. It takes very little to fund what we do, but it's not free. Every dollar counts. If you can spare $5, $20 or $100 to the cause, it goes a long way to keeping us on track, please
