Throughout October, Defiance Public Library System is hosting a TeenTober Drawing Contest for grades 6-12.

Entries must be submitted by November 5.
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
- Best in Show (grades 6-12)
- 1st Place (grades 6-8 and grades 9-12)
- Honorable Mention (grades 6-8 and grades 9-12)
- Fan Favorite (grades 6-12)

A fall reading challenge for grades 6-12: Read or listen to at least three books from a large list of categories (link below) for a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card and more.
Lists also will be available at all DPLS libraries. Logs must be returned by November 5 in order to be entered into the prize drawings.

Every Thursday is Teen Night in the teen space at Defiance Public Library!
From 4:30 p.m. to close, the teen space in the mezzanine will be open and dedicated to teens (grades 6-12).
Hang out and socialize, use the gaming systems, or take part in various evening activities including scavenger hunts, crafts, trivia challenges, games, and more!

Pride & No Prejudice is an LGBTQIA+-friendly book club, meeting on the third Thursday of each month beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the lounge at St. John United Church of Christ, 950 Webster St., Defiance.
Anyone 16+ is welcome to join the group, which seeks diversity, inclusion, and representation in the written word.
*Please park and enter on the north side of the church.

They will be available for pickup and drop-off at any DPLS library BUT here's the catch: We have a limited amount, only 10 to give out!
