A NOTE FROM THE DHSPA CO-CHAIRS
This week our thanks go to our Beautification Co-chairs, Laura Jachino and Pam O'Neil and their committee for the festive winter planters at the entrance doors of the school. Thank you for making the school look ready for the holidays. A huge thank you to our Spirit Wear Co-Chairs, Sara Young and Kelly Scallon, for organizing such a successful online holiday spirit wear sale these past two weeks. The wide array of clothes and accessories certainly gives our school community a nice way to show their Blue Wave pride. Thank you to all who shopped online to support the DHSPA. Thank you to all who have already contributed to our DHSPA direct appeal, which is still ongoing. Your support enables us to provide enrichment for the students, appreciation for the teachers and events for parents. We are tremendously grateful for everyone's help in reaching our goal! TOYS FOR TOTS
The Excel Program is holding their annual Toys for Tots Drive! Please send in new, unwrapped toys. Donation boxes are located at the main entrance, outside of the library, at the auditorium entrance, and in Room G111. The last day to donate toys will be the morning of December 20th.
REMINDERS FROM GUIDANCE
Seniors please let your counselor know of your admission decisions so we can update Naviance and continue to support you! PSAT results are now available in student College Board accounts. AP exam registration will remain open until March 4, 2022. Juniors will have Guidance Seminar during Q3 and Sophomores will have it during Q4.
SCHOOL PHOTO PACKAGES
Photo retake/makeup orders are available for students to pick up from Mrs. Farren in the main office. Additionally many photo orders delivered in October have not been picked up. Please remind your student to retrieve their photos from the main office.
SENIOR PORTRAIT SELECTION DEADLINE DECEMBER 15TH!
Senior portrait selections MUST be made by December 15, 2021 or a selection will be made for you! Please follow the directions found on the DHS Website to enter the senior portrait portal. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. Hernández at rhernandez@darienps.org.

CDSP "Did You Know" Series - #3
The Council of Darien School Parents (CDSP), the umbrella organization for the Parent Teacher Organizations (PTOs) of all Darien Schools, meets monthly to exchange ideas and information. These monthly meetings are led by CDSP Co-Chairs Joanna Walsh and Lori Olson, and attended by PTO Chairs and CDSP Reps from all public schools in the District. Information is communicated from CDSP meetings to the parent community by PTO Chairs (via Wires, emails, blasts and school meetings). Likewise, PTO Chairs communicate parent community concerns back to Lori, Joanna and the CDSP Executive Board. Parents are always welcome to contact CDSP directly at cdspdarien@gmail.com.
