Please join us on Wednesday, February 2 for our Electives Expo! This event is for parents of CURRENT 9th -11th graders to learn more about the elective options for students next year. DHS Department Chairs and Coordinators will speak about the offerings in each of their departments. The program will focus on many of the amazing electives available to students in each of our academic areas of study, as well as the extracurricular opportunities students can join and participate in to further their learning, pursue a passion or just have fun!

SPECIAL SERVICES TRANSITION PARENT COFFEE
Wednesday, February 9th at 9am in the auditorium. This presentation focuses on preparing families of middle school students with Special Education Services & 504 Accommodations for Darien High School. Please register HERE.
SAT REVIEW COURSES
Darien High School will once again offer its SAT review course headed by Mr. Dooley from the math department and Mr. Speiser from the English department. The February/March class is appropriate for JUNIORS who will be taking the SAT on either March 12 or March 30. The same course will run again in April in anticipation of the May 7th and June 4th test.
SAT Math: The Math course will be taught in person and will run on four Tuesday nights from 7pm – 9pm in room B112 for a total of 8 hours of instruction. The dates of the math class are February 8, February 15, March 1 and March 8. The cost of the course is $200. To register for the Math course, you can sign up on through school cash online. SAT English: The English/Verbal course will be taught in person and will take place on four Wednesday nights in room B203 from 7pm – 9pm for a total of 8 hours of instruction. The dates of the class are February 9, February 16, March 2 and March 9. The cost for the course is $200. To register for the English course, you can sign up through school cash online. SENIOR YEAR AND SENIORS THROUGH THE YEARS PICS Deadline: February 11 Every year, the Yearbook Club loves to have a full senior section. We are asking for your help in collecting photos from senior year and seniors through the years. We are looking for photos of senior groups (2 or more) from over the years as well as photos from senior year. Please see THE DHS WEBSITE for more information.

CDSP “Did You Know” Series - #6
The Council for Darien School Parents (CDSP) is the umbrella organization for all Parent Teacher Organizations (PTOs) in the Darien Public School (DPS) District. Each of the seven schools have representation on CDSP. The purpose of CDSP, formed over 20 years ago, is to promote communication and collaboration across all seven Darien schools, District Administration, the Board of Education (BoE) and the DPS parent community. CDSP encourages the exchange of creative ideas for things such as fun, engaging enrichment programs for our students, appreciation events for our teachers and staff, exploration of synergies to help reduce costs (such as author visits for our students), and representation of all parents’ views / concerns.
