A NOTE FROM THE DHSPA CO-CHAIRS
We'd like to thank Melissa Williams and Sarah Neumann, our Programs Chairs, for organizing and moderating last week's DHS Student College Panel Discussion and the DHS alumni who participated. It was great to hear the insight and experiences of five recent DHS grads as they shared advice on everything from the college application process to ways their time at DHS prepared them for college. The panel was recorded for those who missed it. We'll include a link in the DPN as soon as it is ready.

On a different note, we hope that all families have had a chance to see the DHSPA's annual fundraising appeal that began last week. Thank you to those who have already donated! We are making progress towards our goal and are looking for the support of all DHS families. The funds that are raised are used to support enrichment programs, gifts to the school, student events and teacher appreciation. It truly helps us add to the wonderful experience and community at DHS.  A great example of this is this week's upcoming virtual event with Jeff Selingo, the NY Times bestselling author of Who Gets In and Why? : A Year Inside College Admissions.  Please consider donating today! Click HERE to donate via Credit Card or PayPal.

WHO GETS IN & WHY: A YEAR INSIDE COLLEGE ADMISSIONS - DEC. 2
In partnership with Staples and New Canaan High Schools and with generous support from the DHSPA, author Jeff Selingo has been invited for a virtual conversation about the current college admissions landscape. The event will be held on December 2nd at 7pm. Jeff Selingo is a New York Times bestselling author of three books. His latest book, Who Gets In & Why: A Year Inside College Admissions, (2020) was named among the 100 Notable Books of the year by the New York Times. While this event is most relevant to Juniors, the webinar link will be sent to all families on the day of the event. Please note: Pre-registration is required for this event.
