Solutions: Maintenance News You Can Use
Know What is Happening Using Your CMMS
Does your maintenance department struggle to keep track of work requests and work in progress?

Is your maintenance team spending a lot of time fielding calls asking for status updates to current activities and projects?

Managing work load and staying on top of current activities can be daunting. Constantly having to update departments and individuals with status updates takes time away from the maintenance team that could have been spent being productive.

You have a CMMS in place where every work request and work order can be tracked so why not use this information to provide real time information to your maintenance team and others.

iMaint Dashboard allows for real time reporting and has the ability for users to create custom dashboard components that can display much of the data in iMaint in a meaningful way.

Here is an example of easy to create dashboard components that can help manage work load and provide real time information to departments and individuals with status updates. These work flow dashboards can help with managing activities and reduce the number of calls to the maintenance department for update requests.

The iMaint Dashboard can be displayed on monitors within the maintenance area and throughout the facility. iMaint users can have Dashboards displayed on their own computers as well.
As we can see in the example, maintenance can see work requests as they come in. These work requests can be turned into work orders in iMaint with only a few clicks.

Once the work order is created, the status of current work can be displayed to show:
  • Unassigned work
  • Work that has been started
  • Work that is “on hold” for various reasons
  • Work that has been completed

The key to make this successful is to have well established work flow processes that are adhered to strictly along with updating the status of current work punctually. Once this is in place, Dashboards can display the needed information in real time providing needed information and assistance in managing current work.

Our Professional Services team can help you with establishing these work flows and setting up dashboard components that accurately reflect the current status of all work.

PMC Update

Make Your Mark on the Future of PMC

DPSI is now creating a development plan for PMC Version 8.3. As many of you know, DPSI gives customers the opportunity to have a voice and share ideas for inclusion in our development plans. Now is the time to get your PMC ideas posted on Customer Corner, under the PMC Future Suggestions forum. Currently, there are a few good ideas listed, but we would love to see more! Please go to DPSI.com and sign up for a Customer Corner account. Login and let us know how we can help make your daily use of PMC even better.
Time is of the essence. DPSI plans to lock the forum for new suggestions sometime in November. Someone from the PMC User Advisory Board may be in contact with you to clarify and make sure we have a clear understanding of your suggested feature. DPSI will then take these suggestions and create a poll. PMC customers with active support agreements will get to rank these suggestions as to what they feel is most important for DPSI to include in the next release. It is our goal to publish this poll for a week in December and then develop a PMC 8.3 Features list using the results.

It is always a good idea to keep us up-to-date on a primary contact within your organization. Contact your Customer Account Manager to make sure we have the correct people listed as they will be the most likely to receive the emails regarding the PMC 8.3 Poll.

In addition, we are searching for new PMC User Advisory Board members for 2022! We are calling all PMC maintenance technicians, supervisors, planner/ schedulers or inventory clerks or purchasing agents, power users or system administrators! Join us for networking and fellowship around the love of PMC.

For more information about the PMC User Advisory Boards, contact Kristin.Hunt@dpsi.com.

We look forward to your suggestions and thank you for helping DPSI to make PMC even better.
