“For all its imperfections, America is still the beacon to the world,

an ideal to be realized, a promise to be kept.President Joseph Biden

Democratic Party of Torrance County Newsletter  January 22, 2024

Good Morning Democrats:

The election season is underway, and the Republican Party has narrowed its field to two Presidential candidates, Inmate PO1135809 and a former governor of South Carolina who doesn't acknowledge that slavery was an issue leading to and flaming the Civil War.

But first the good news, under the Biden/Harris administration the economy has rebounded, public opinion has turned around, nearly 11 million jobs have been created, including 750,000 manufacturing jobs, the unemployment rate is at a 50-year low and small businesses are flourishing. This in the shadow of the worst pandemic in our live times.

In the other column the "stable genius" keeps demonstrating that he is certifiably unfit for office. He is mentally unfit to be President. Most recently he outwardly confused his opponent, Nikki Haley, with former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. To quote his diatribe at an event on Friday, " By the way, they never report the crowd on January 6. You know, Nikki Haley, Niki Haley, Nikki Haley ... did you know they destroyed all of the information, all of the evidence, everything, deleted and destroyed all of it"..."All of it, because of lots of things, like Nikki Haley is in charge of security, we offered her 10,000 people, soldiers, national guards, whatever they want. They turned it down."

This man still commands double digit leads in all polls for the Republican nomination. As the former publisher ( a life-long Republican) of the New Hampshire Union Leader, a 161-year-old conservative newspaper said, "this man is dangerous". How can we possibly trust him with the nuclear codes? How can we possibly allow him to destroy our democracy?

We can't. And I don't believe we will. The American public in general will see him for what he is and, like 2020, ensure that he is sent packing. But, we must be vigilant. Get involved. Stand up to the cult of followers of PO135809. Stand up to them! Push back on the misrepresentations! Get involved! Vote!

I hope to see all of you at our County Convention where we will elect our delegates to the State Convention. See below for information and feel free to call any of the officers to get involved.

Thank you,

Dennis
