Good Morning Blue Team!

Early voting is up and running with tremendous turnout both nationally and in New Mexico. Despite their ranting about the unfairness of the early vote, Republicans are urging their constituents to vote early, and I think the increase we are seeing is at least partly because of that. In any event, we need to encourage everyone to vote, whether early, by absentee, or in person on November 5th. It is imperative that our citizenry believe in the integrity of our election process and that our young people understand that their vote is their most valuable asset in a democracy.

On another note, I saw the movie "The Apprentice" this weekend. If you get the chance, it's worth the time and effort. It's the story of the developing Donald tRump at the knee of the infamous NYC attorney, Roy Cohn. For those of you that are too young to know who Cohn was or haven't read the history of that time, suffice it to say that he was the chief legal counsel for Joseph McCarthy's Congressional committee during the Red Scare of the late 1940's and early 50's. His mantra, which he pounded into tRumps head was 1) Attack, Attack, Attack, 2) Deny everything, admit nothing and 3) use lawsuits to intimidate those who oppose you. Sound familiar? tRump learned the lessons well although he eventually dumped Cohn, just like he hung Giuliani and some of his other legal (?) minions, out to dry. It's an interesting story and, as I said, worth the time. It just further emphasizes why so many Republicans and members of his administration are coming out in opposition to his candidacy.

Finally, I saw the Albuquerque Journal's headline article Sunday regarding it's most recent polling in the Congressional District 2 race between Gabe Vasquez and Yvette Harrell. It's extremely close. Please encourage your Democratic friends and family in District 2 to vote. Harrell was an absolutely do-nothing Congresswoman who is only slightly above MGT and Boebert on the clown scale.

We can't take any race for granted! Don't be complacent! The future of our children and grandchildren are at risk!

Enough ranting for today. GO VOTE!

STAND UP! PUSH BACK! VOTE!
