Dear Fellow Democrats:
I hope you all got to see the DPTC parade float and our booth in the park at the Pinto Bean Fiesta in Moriarty on Saturday. We had a great turnout of Democrats supporting us and helping with the float and the booth. We were successful in registering some new voters and had very positive feedback from the public. Thank you to all the folks who stepped up to help out. Special thanks to Myra Oden for coordinating our participation in the Pinto Bean Fiesta. We're on a roll and need to keep it going. We're less than 40 days away from Election Day.
And that brings me to my theme for today. KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL!!! The Republican candidate for president and his sidekick, Side-Glance Vance, are masters at distraction. They'll create a shiny object, such as "they're eating the pets", to distract the voting public (and yes, the media, which follows shiny objects like a cat follows a laser light) from the real issues. What we need to focus on is women's rights to control their own health care, the burgeoning economy under the Biden administration, the decrease in inflation leading to decreased interest rates, lower gasoline prices, meaningful border legislation being torpedoed by the Republican candidate, election integrity, and the protection of our military and intelligence community.
I realize that many of you don't have the time to read the entire text of Project 2025, but there are many synopses online that you can peruse. Project 2025 is the game plan of the current Republican team, there is no question. They are not only weird (weirdness implies lack of intent), but the fact is they are dangerous in their derangement. We can't get side-tracked - we must keep our eye on the ball - and make sure that Democrats turn out to vote in full force. Remind those around you every chance you get of the true issues in this race and the risk to our democracy currently before us.
If my math is right there are 37 days left before November 5th, let's keep up the momentum.
STAND UP! PUSH BACK! VOTE!
Dennis
