Hello Fellow Democrats and ANTIFA followers,
It seems that things get crazier and crazier every day with the Trump regime. Just about the time I think it could not get any crazier, it does. About the time I think there is nothing else that could shock me, here come the shock waves. All of this has made me lose hope at times. I start to seriously doubt that we will survive the next 2 ½ years. What will he do next, what will we do when he actually starts coming after Democrats? I start to wonder how long it will take to clean up the mess Trump, and the Republicans have made. Even more important, where will the money come from to even start the cleanup.
When I get in that kind of frame of mind, I tell myself to remember what Michelle Obama always says, “Hope is a choice.” I can choose to be frightened and depressed or I can choose to be hopeful and excited about the 2026 and 2028 elections. When Barak and Michelle opened the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, it was so good to see happy faces and positive feelings about where we are headed and how we will get there. I see all the positive, smiling Democrats lifting each other up and showing hope for how we will manage when the Trump regime is gone. Michelle Obama’s connection to “hope” is everything. It is the basis of their lives and was the basis when they were in the White House.
“Hope” continues the to be the recurring sentiment every single day for both Barak and Michelle, and we can all learn lessons from them. When one is around people with “hope”, it is contagious and it grows and it grows. I must remind myself daily that we are not finished yet, we are still in the fight for Democracy, we are still in the fight for our Constitution and the Rule of Law. I have great hope that we will come out on top in 2026 and 2028 and that the Democrats will pass laws to prevent the kind of abuse of the Constitution we have seen the past year and a half. We must stand up for future generations, we must foster a strong feeling of Community, no matter the party affiliation. When you start to feel afraid and scared, remember, “Hope is a choice.” Always choose HOPE, it will get you through difficult times and will lift you up!
I want to remind you that event season is upon us, and we are always in need of volunteers to help work the booths at Olde Timers Day in Estancia, the Sunflower Festival in Mountainair and Pinto Fiesta in Moriarty. We are asking for your help to talk to people, distribute literature and register people to vote. This is our time to meet the public and visit with them about what we have been doing and spread some HOPE. You do not have to work the entire day; pick an event(s) and the time you are willing to work. Give Millie a call to get signed up and she will make it happen. Honestly, we can use all the help we can get and would be honored to have you pitch in.
Have a great week!

Stand Up! Push Back! Continue the Fight!

TRUMP LIES ABOUT EVERYTHING!
Refute the Republican Rhetoric
By Bill Peifer
On Thursday, Trump posted:
The Crowd was incredible last night, packed to the brim — At least 45,000 people were there, with a huge Television and online audience. I wish we were able to have an even larger area, which we will be able to do on July 4th when I’ll be speaking again. The airplane flyovers and music were fantastic. Everybody stayed right until the end of my Speech because they loved hearing about a truly successful America. See you again on July 4th! President DONALD J. TRUMP
Trump is referring here to the kickoff of his overly hyped and underly supported Great American State Fair on Wednesday. To back up his claims about the size of the crowd, he also posted a picture of the huge crowd. There’s a small problem with the picture, though. Looking closely at the picture of the crowd you can see the same man, holding the same American flag at exactly the same angle, in three different locations at the same time, leading skeptics like myself to begin to wonder if maybe the image was either AI-generated or photoshopped to make the crowd look larger than it was.
So, with my childhood training of “Don’t believe anything that you hear and only half of what you see” running through my head, I dug a little deeper into what others had to say about the size of the crowd that Trump estimated to be “at least 45,000 people”. NBC News estimated the turnout at just over 1,000, and the Washington Post described it as “smaller than some summer outdoor movie screenings”. National Park Service employees were more generous, estimating 1,500 to 2,000. Of course, ever since Trump promised to lower prescription prices by 1500%, we’ve known that he really isn’t very good with numbers.
Maybe he’s having problems with his eyesight as well as with numbers, because his post claimed that “everybody stayed right until the end of my Speech because they loved hearing about a truly successful America”, but independent reports say that some people started leaving as soon as he started speaking, and several sources report that there’s “video footage showed streams of attendees leaving during his speech”. Maybe they all had to leave early to get to their second and third jobs to pay for their gas and groceries in his “truly successful America”.
The fantastic music that he referred to? That would have been country singer Alexis Wilkins singing the National Anthem, a severely over-the-hill Lee Greenwood singing his one-and-only-ever hit, “God Bless the USA” and operatic tenor Christopher Macchio singing “Hallelujah”. And, of course, the U.S. Marine Band and the U.S. Army Band performed because they were ordered to. Everybody else snubbed Trump by cancelling.
To make matters worse for Trump’s seriously underwhelming Great American State Fair kickoff night was that the event was hit by a critical power outage, causing dessert vendors' ice cream in the food hall to melt. Not even the ice cream would cooperate with Trump on Wednesday night!
