Hello Fellow Democrats,
I have to say, yet again, that Republicans are really bugging me! I know, I know, I should give them some grace and realize that not all of them are terrible. But I kinda think they are! I continue to be mesmerized that there are still people faithful to the party and the president and his policies. His rates are in the toilet, he is pouting, yet again, about not being awarded a Nobel Peace Prize and Pete Hegsteth is planning a public execution by firing squad and wants to live stream the event. Sadly, the president supports his shenanigan. I can’t think of anything more insane, every day brings something more insane than the last. Today I heard that DJT wants the Supreme Court to reopen his lawsuit against Hillary Clinton. That was years ago and the judge threw the case out, done, over, caput! INSANITY!
The other thing that is really bugging me is Greg Hull and his nastiness toward Deb Haaland and trying to manipulate the truth to make her look bad and him look good. Come on, this guy barely graduated high school, does not have a college degree, is a known Christian Nationalist who wants to do away with Universal Child Care and abolish legal abortion. Being mayor of Rio Rancho is not even creditable, as the City Council makes all the decisions and Intel is the big dog in Rio Rancho anyway.
And to top it off, there is insanity right here in Moriarty. I take a walk most days of the week in a neighborhood directly behind my office. This past week I was greeted with a homeowner’s sign on the gate that read “GO ICE.” Well now I have a clear picture of the level of hatred in that home!
All I can say is get out and VOTE - on or before November 3rd! Early voting is expanded to Moriarty on October 17th and that is when I plan to vote. Yes, I have a plan, and I sincerely hope that you do too. If you need a ride, we are here to help, just call us, we will get you to the polling place and back home safe and sound.
Please remember Saturday, October 17th is NO KINGS DAY! The Moriarty protest is from noon until 2 pm at the SW corner of Route 66 and Highway 41. You don’t need a sign, just show up. Please come, we need to make a BIG statement in Moriarty by having lots of people there. There has been a group of folks that have been there every Saturday protesting for over a year now. Make plans to show up and help them out.
STAND UP, PUSH BACK! CONTINUE THE FIGHT!

TRUMP LIES ABOUT EVERYTHING!
Refute the Republican Rhetoric
By Bill Peifer
Every once in a while, despite his natural tendency to lie about everything, a tiny bit of the truth will actually leak out of his mouth. Such was the case at his rally in Clarksville, TN on Saturday, when he told the enthusiastic crowd of a few thousand people:
I could say the stupidest things and you’d clap,
And, of course, the attendees clapped and cheered wildly at that little bit of truth. I suppose that even the thousand or so empty seats in the upper level clapped and cheered. But, unable to stick to the truth any longer, Trump followed that statement with two lies, hitting his faithful cult members with both barrels from his double-barreled lie machine:
But we don’t say the stupidest things. We say things of common sense.
The reality is that anyone who listens to recordings of his speeches, or reads transcripts of them, knows that he really does say some of the stupidest things. This is a man who, in an address to a joint session of Congress in 2025, claimed that “the Biden administration spent $8 million making mice transgender.” And let’s not forget Trump’s 2019 Fourth of July speech where he praised George Washington’s Army, because “our army manned the air, it rammed the ramparts, it took over the airports, it did everything it had to do, and at Fort McHenry, under the rockets’ red glare, it had nothing but victory.” Obviously, there were no airports to “take over” from the British in the 1770s, and Fort McHenry wasn’t built until 1798.
Yeah, Trump has said many of “the stupidest things”, and rarely, if ever, exhibits any “common sense”.
