Hello Fellow Democrats and Antifa Thinkers,
On Tuesday Trump took the stage for a big rally in Pennsylvania. The speech that he was going to give was supposed to be on the state of the economy. And, to his credit, for about the first 25 minutes he stayed pretty much on script, telling his loyal groupies that inflation no longer existed because he’s brought prices down tremendously, that America’s economy is booming with tens of millions of new jobs being created, and so on. Of course, that was all lies. Inflation is about where it was when he took office, job creation is lower than at any point since the pandemic and domestic GDP is flatlined.
But then Trump forgot all about his teleprompter and veered off into what he likes to call his “weave”, rambling nonsensically about whatever pops into whatever passes for his brain, for the next hour and 10 minutes. He ranted for about a minute about transgender and then went into attack mode, complaining about Congresswoman Ilhan Omar in particular, with his brain-dead minions chanting “SEND HER BACK!”, with a quick shift to criticizing Somalian immigrants in general and then the country of Somalia. That’s when he claimed that the only things that Somalians did well was seize foreign ships, referencing the Somali pirates that Biden pretty much eliminated during the previous administration.
That comment set the stage for Wednesday. The one thing that Trump hates more than anything is for someone to do something . . . ANYTHING . . . better than him. On Wednesday he simply HAD to demonstrate that he’s better at piracy than the Somali pirates by seizing an oil tanker enroute from Venezuela to Cuba and declaring that “we’ll keep the oil”. To be clear, piracy is defined in international law as “violence or theft on the high seas for private gain, outside any state's jurisdiction”. So, on top of murdering the crews of more than 20 private boats in violation of international law, Trump is now guilty of piracy.
The latest wrinkle in all of this is that members of the International Criminal Court in the Hague, who would logically be the ones who might bring charges of war crimes and piracy against Trump and Hegseth, are now being targeted by Trump, along with his domestic detractors like James Comey and Letitia James. He is cancelling their U.S. visas, ordering their personal assets in U.S. banks to be frozen and demanding that U.S. banks cancel any credit cards that the judges and prosecutors might have.
Our felon President is now the head of an international criminal syndicate. And many MAGA Republicans are still so ridiculously proud of him.
STAND UP! PUSH BACK! 2026 IS ALMOST HERE!

TRUMP LIES ABOUT EVERYTHING!
Refute the Republican Rhetoric
By Bill Peifer
On Thursday, Trump made a “YUGE” announcement, saying that he was granting Tina Peters a “full pardon”, essentially (in his mind) nullifying Peters’ 2024 conviction and 9-year sentence for election interference. If you’re not familiar with the case, Peters was the County Clerk in Colorado’s Mesa County. An election denier in the aftermath of the 2020 election, she conspired with Mike Lindell (CEO of MyPillow) to provide him with screenshots of her county’s election software so that he could manipulate it and somehow “prove” that Trump won Colorado (along with every other state in the Union) and the 2020 election. The doctored images were then posted on several right-wing websites to promote false theories that the 2020 election was fraudulent.
Since she started serving her sentence, Trump has repeatedly called for her release, claiming that "Tina is sitting in a Colorado prison for the 'crime' of demanding Honest Elections," and claiming that her conspiratorial efforts were “attempts to expose Voter Fraud in the Rigged 2020 Presidential Election!" Trump posted in August, in an attempt to bully Colorado, saying that if Peters wasn't released, he would "take harsh measures."
Not only is Trump lying about what Peters did, but he is also displaying for the world to see that he doesn’t understand the 10th Amendment any better than he understands the rest of the Constitution. Peters was indicted and tried under a Colorado state law. She was convicted by a jury of her Coloradan peers and was sentenced by a Colorado judge. She’s serving her time in a Colorado state prison. The President of the United States has absolutely no power to pardon her or commute her sentence, any more than he has the power to pardon himself for his felonies in the State of New York.
Tina Peters will stay right where she is.

Looking for Democrats to run in 2026
With the 2025 non-partisan elections behind us, the DPTC is now looking at the 2026 Torrance County elections. These elections are partisan, but in the recent past there have only been Republicans on the ballot for the General Election since it’s been difficult to persuade Democrats to run in a county where it’s perceived that only Republicans can win. Because of this perception, there have been times when Democrats want to run, but feel that they have to change their party affiliation to “Republican” to get elected. In 2026 we’d like to change this perception, but we need brave Democrats to step up and “put their hats in the ring”. Here are the positions that will be up for election in 2026 along with the estimated annual salary:
County Commissioner District 1 – Pays $27,570.
County Commissioner District 2 – Pays $27,570.
Sheriff – Pays $72,164.
Assessor – Pays $70,031.
Probate Judge – Pays $24,180.
Magistrate Judge – Pays $79,537
All of the salaries shown are the current salaries which will likely go up slightly with a “cost of living” increase at the first of the year. The DPTC stands ready to assist you as much as possible, should you choose to step up and run for one of these positions! Contact Bill Peifer if you have any interest in running.
