OCT 23: Early Release Day - school ends at 11:20am
|
School is out at 11:20am on Thursday, October 23, but students will still have lunch at school.
Please help us make this day a success by planning ahead for early pick-up, if possible. All after school programs will begin at 11:20 on early release day. If you are not able to pick up your child early and the drop-in fee for MEEP is not an option for you, please contact Mr. Bass.
FYI: The system of monthly early release days benefits all staff and students with less sub-time AND saves the school $20,000/year. Read more...

Please join us on Thursday Oct 23 at 6:30 - 7:15 pm in the library to learn the ins and outs of the SFUSD Middle School Enrollment Process! Miraloma parent Barbara Panning will be presenting.

Wake up on Friday October 24th and decide to wear MISFIT SOCKS with the purpose to celebrate what makes us different and take a stand against bullying! More information about the campaign can be found at: The Million Misfit Sock March 2014

REMINDER: Lost and Found Has Lots of Items - Check it out |
Our lost and found shelves are stocked with beautiful clothes (neatly folded thanks to Sorel, who multi-tasked while giving a school tour!). There are a ton of jackets, pants, skirts, headbands, and even shoes. Everything will be sent to donation on November 1st so please swing by and take a look for any lost items.
Reminder: Please label your clothes (either last name or first name with last initial). Don't just put initials. Sadly out of all the clothes, I only was able to return 2 items today. Thanks!

REMINDER: Halloween Treats Policy - Please read! |
We believe that Halloween can bring out the kid in all of us. It's fun to get dressed up in a costume and parade around the school. Treats are a part of the fun. However, treats don't have to be sticky, sugary, fatty, or candy. Per the SFUSD Official Wellness Policy, we do not allow any candy, cupcakes, or sugary treats at Miraloma during already high-energy days, such as Halloween, Valentine's Day, etc.
If you are bringing treats to school, think about some possible non-edible treats:
- Temporary tattoos - kids love tattoos!
- Stickers in Halloween themes - a safe bet and available everywhere!
- Halloween-themed pencils, pens, and erasers - both fun and functional!
- Bubbles - bubbles are fun!
- Rubber spiders or spider rings!
