REMINDER: Halloween Treats Policy - Please read! |
We believe that Halloween can bring out the kid in all of us. It's fun to get dressed up in a costume and parade around the school. Treats are a part of the fun. However, treats don't have to be sticky, sugary, fatty, or candy. Per the SFUSD Official Wellness Policy, we do not allow any candy, cupcakes, or sugary treats at Miraloma during already high-energy days, such as Halloween, Valentine's Day, etc.
If you are bringing treats to school, think about some possible non-edible treats:
- Temporary tattoos - kids love tattoos!
- Stickers in Halloween themes - a safe bet and available everywhere!
- Halloween-themed pencils, pens, and erasers - both fun and functional!
- Bubbles - bubbles are fun!
- Rubber spiders or spider rings!
