The schedule will be as follows:

(5:35 Teachers dismissed to their classrooms)
5:40-5:45: All parents/guardians travel to classrooms

Childcare: Childcare will be provided on the yard for school-age children (drop off and pick up in the Cafeteria), however it is very limited. Please try to make arrangements for your child(ren) to stay at home for this event, if at all possible.

Thank you in advance for taking an active role in your student's education at Miraloma Elementary School.

SingSEPT 11: Sing Along - 1st Grade Family Attendance Only
As mentioned at morning circle, this Friday's  K-2 Sing-Along will be open for community members from 1st Grade only. We are currently rotating community attendance due to safety and space concerns.

Please note some agreements that need to be followed for attendance:
  1. Adult attendees must let students and teachers enter and exit the auditorium unobstructed. Please leave doorways open until all students are seated and don't get up until students are out after Sing Along.
  2. Please sit on the stage or on front sides, not in the main auditorium seats which are needed for students.
  3. To make the experience best for students, please refrain from leaving Sing-Along in the middle. Plan to stay for the whole time.
As this is an on-going issue, I will be holding a Parent's Meeting on Tuesday, Sept 15th at 8am in the Auditorium to discuss our long-term Sing Along policy. We will discuss student experience, teacher concerns, parent feedback, school safety and regulatory guidelines. Please attend so we can work together and problem solve this issue.

earlySEPT 17: Early Release Day - school ends at 11:20am
School is out at 11:20am on Thursday September 17, but students will still have lunch at school.

Please help us make this day a success by planning ahead for early pick-up. All after school programs will begin at 11:20 on early release day. If you are not able to pick up your child early and the drop-in fee for MEEP is not an option for you, please contact Mr. Bass.

FYI: The system of monthly early release days benefits all staff and students with less sub-time AND saves the school $20,000/year. Read more...
