**SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS**
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 21: FUN RUN PLEDGES & VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

With only five days before the Fun Run, we are behind on both fundraising and volunteer signups. Get active this week and help get this mission back on track:

  • Today - Enter your fundraising commitment and ask friends and family for donations to your child's pledge page at https://miraloma.dojiggy.com/
  • Today - Sign up for a volunteer shift. Set up, clean up, water station staff, bringer of Dixie Cups and baked goods... only half of our volunteer slots have been filled.
  • Friday - Join our Planet Miraloma T-Shirt Day and see Principal Ingber shave his head at Running Club! Make sure your child wears their T-shirt, and don't miss Running Club (7:15 on the playground). Come support Principal Ingber showing his fearless school spirit - shaving his head to celebrate our fantastic student participation numbers!
  • Friday - Look for a logistics email with information about the schedule, parking, etc.
  • Sunday - Get ready to run! Battle face paint? Check. Comfy shoes? Sunscreen? Check. Camelbak? Ok, that's probably not needed. But be prepared for a fun day together at Balboa Park HS.

PROCEDURE FOR REQUESTING SCHOOL RECORDS
It's that time of year again when Ms. Mallen is flooded with requests for student records for middle school! This year we're asking parents to help ease the huge amount of time involved with this process. When possible, please:

  • Scan the records request form and email as an attachment to sch722@sfusd.edu
  • If requesting records be sent to multiple schools, try to submit all requests at one time
  • Do not wait until the last minute; it takes time to process the dozens and dozens of requests!
  • Please also follow this process when requesting teacher and principal recommendations

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: SNACK PREP HELPERS & THURSDAY BIN CLEANER
Snack Committee:  The Snack Committee is in need of a twice-a-month Thursday afternoon bin cleaner. Email  snack@miralomasf.com  if you can help out! Volunteers are also needed for Monday and Wednesday snack prep. Anyone is welcome to join the team after morning circle in the garden.

Thanks to Enrollment Fair & School Tour Volunteers: A sincere thanks to the parents and teachers that were able to represent Miraloma for the SFUSD Enrollment Fair.  Additionally, thanks to all the parent volunteers who help with our school tours! The Enrollment Fair and the tours make it clear that we are a very sought-after school!!
