appreciationlunchMay 12: Teacher & Staff Appreciation Luncheon
Honoring all of those at Miraloma who give so much to our children, the Annual Teacher & Staff Appreciation Luncheon will be held in the library on Thursday, May 12 at 11:30am (early release). This PTA-sponsored luncheon serves 55, including the after-care programs and all Miraloma staff.

We can use your help with:
  • Set-up: Immediately following drop-off in the library. Seating and buffet table settings, setting up beverage service, flower arranging and placement, signage for menu items, last-minute pick-ups, etc. One  more volunteer needed.
  • Clean-up: Roughly between 12:45-3pm in the library. Many hands make light work! Two more volunteers needed.
  • Bringing flowers from your garden, collected outside the cafeteria at drop-off on May 12.

Please fill out the important SQII Family Survey by Friday, May 13. It is part of the School Quality Improvement Index (SQII) and is one way the SFUSD and the State of California are measuring the Culture and Climate of our Miraloma.

zeitgeistMAY 20: Zeitgeist Miraloma Teacher Appreciation Day
Parents, staff, teachers! Come enjoy a burger and beer at Zeitgeist o n Friday, May 20th at 3:30 pm  to celebrate our amazing teachers!  
We'll also celebrate Mr. Bass and send him off with a big thank you.

Through the last three years of helping in the classroom I have come to realize the amount of work that our teachers give to us and our children and wanted to organize something to celebrate them. 
I have teamed up with our PTA to make this event happen and cover the costs for the teachers. Anyone who wants to come hang out and celebrate these amazing teachers is welcome to do so, the more the merrier!!

Hello Everyone,

Thanks to the new principal subcommittee and hiring committee we have good news!

After a round of interviews, the new principal hiring committee put forward a candidate for the superintendent's and Board of Education's final approval. This process should be completed within the next few weeks. Until that time, we're not allowed to share anything further about the candidates.

Thank you to everyone who contributed feedback and assisted in the process.
