lunchappAUG 19: School Meal Applications and Online Payment Options
Every year,  all families at SFUSD need to submit a Free and Reduced School Meals Application regardless whether you are applying for subsidized meals or not.  Read more on how this info is essential for SFUSD.

Please submit the application online today! (No printout needed.)

New to SFUSD?
Until your application is processed, you will need to provide your child(ren) a sack lunch or send money to purchase school meals. 

Want to pay for school lunch online?
Register for MealpayPlus, where you can view your child's meal account history, pre-pay for meals and monitor your balance.
formsAUG 19: Emergency Cards & Immunization Forms Due
Fill out your child's Emergency Card (distributed by teachers on Monday).  This is essential information for the school to have on hand in order to contact you regarding your student.

New for this year, there are  immunization requirements to attend school in SFUSD.  Every student must have this health form on file. Please download it and fill it out.

Please return both forms by Friday to the school secretary, Ms. Mallen!

Join your fellow Miralomans for a cup o' joe, a pastry and some good conversation! Our First Friday Coffee Social takes place every month on the first Friday -- our kickoff event takes place Friday, Sept 2 from 8-9am outside the Cafeteria.

sscSEPT 12: School Site Council Meeting - 6-7pm, Library
Join the 2016-17 School Site Council (SSC) for their first meeting of the year on Monday, Sept 12 from 6-7pm in the Library.

What is the SSC?
The School Site Council (SSC) is an elected group of an equal number of parents, teachers and/or staff. The role of the SSC is to advise the principal on the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the school's overall improvement plan and school budget. earlySEPT 15: Early Release Day - TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED
Miraloma is planning our first Early Release Day on Thursday September 15, when school will be done at 11:20am.
All Early Release days for the year are posted to the school calendar.

recessVOLUNTEER: Volunteer at Recess!
Recess   is an integral part of our children's socio-emotional development.  It is important they they have a  safe and secure time where they can be the social and playful human beings that they so desire to be.  A huge part of making sure that   recess   at   Miraloma   can be a positive space for all of our students is by having enough caring and responsible adults on the yard to help provide supervision.  

We would love to find at least 12 volunteers for each recess You need absolutely no experience to be qualified for this.

Morning Recess
  • Kinder-3rd grades: 9:20am-9:40am
  • 4th/5th grades: 9:50am-10:05am
Lunch Recess:
  • K/1: 11am-11:20am 
  • 2nd/3rd: 11:30am-11:50am
  • 4th/5th: 12:00pm-12:20pm

Sign up to care  for our wonderful chickens on nights & weekends.

snackVOLUNTEER: Help with Snack Prep
The Snack Committee provides fresh fruits and vegetables to each classroom daily, so our kids have a healthy snack in between breakfast and lunch. We need parent volunteers weekly on:
  • Mon/Wed at 8am in the garden to help prep produce for the classrooms.? 
  • Wed/Thu/Fri after school to pick up snack bins from classrooms and clean them out.

  • Dogs/Pets - only service animals are allowed on school grounds
  • Treats* - only non-edible treats at Halloween/Valentine's
  • Birthdays - celebrated at morning circle on Monday
  • Toys - to be kept in backpack during school hours

*When including a treat with your child's lunch, please try to make a healthy choice and avoid sweet treats, chips with artificial flavors/coloring, etc. See SFUSD Wellness Policy.
