miraloma.walkstarter.org.
Volunteer!
There are many day-of-event volunteer slots that still need to be filled. We are in dire need of people to provide Pop-Up Shelters, 6 foot Tables, Food items and more. So many of the slots are simple and fun, requiring little extra added effort of attendees, but the event simply won't function if people don't sign up. Please help us with this final push to create a successful community day.

DENMAN CORNER
Update from our feeder school
|
The 7th grade Denman Coding students (including our Miraloma alumni,
Hannah Tawadrous, Oliver Witt, Dylan Marty, Maxwell Austin, Spencer Cowen) and a few selected 8th graders were invited to the
DreamForce convention to take part in STEM activities for the youth. The students were able to experiment and learn about different applications of today's technologies including: Virtual Reality, robotics, modern indoor farming, coding and auto design (the latter is a bit of a stretch but they did design toy vehicles with rudimentary braking systems!). #DenmanPride

ISW 2015 |
We are looking for Volunteers! Inclusive Schools Week (ISW), Dec5-9, is a fantastic week of school-wide activities to celebrate inclusivity. This year's national ISW theme is "Champions of Inclusion: Powerful things happen in Inclusive Schools". We need an ISW Lead*, who coordinates volunteers and works with the ISW Art Project sub-lead on all in-class and all-school ISW art projects. This ISW superstar is responsible for ISW communication and coordinates volunteers to create in-class activities and present an all-school assembly (if time permits). In addition, the Lead helps coordinate the parent volunteers for our PE Ability Awareness stations as well as helps with the Family Potluck. *If you have someone you'd like to share the work with, Co-lead pairs are welcome! We are also looking for an ISW Art Project lead, who creates the ISW themed school-wide art project. For those interested, the ISW Lead and Art Lead are short term positions - work begins in late October/Early November and ends the first week of December. And check out our photos if you're unfamiliar with ISW but would like to see what the week is all about! Interested? Contact: [email protected] |

VOLUNTEER: Volunteer at Recess!
|
Recess is an integral part of our children's socio-emotional development. A huge part of making sure recess at Miraloma can be a positive space for all of our students is by having enough caring and responsible adults on the yard to help provide supervision. Please contact me to volunteer!
