APR 18: REUNIFICATION DRILL IS TODAY!
NOTE: IF IT IS RAINING, the drill will be postponed to a later date.

If it is not raining, and you pick up your student at the end of the school day, please plan on participating in our Reunification Drill. Families should expect to enter the school through our "alley" at the intersection of Omar and Rockdale, where we will sign out students individually. Please make sure the person signing out is on your emergency card and that they have an ID.

A letter with more details was sent last week, or check out our website for all the details, and please let me know if you have questions. Thanks for your cooperation!

APR 19: EARLY RELEASE DAY - TOMORROW!

APR 20: FILL OUT THE SFUSD SURVEY - DUE FRIDAY
SFUSD Survey Due THIS FRIDAY, April 20th:
Now that we've finished our "in-house" survey... We have the SFUSD Family Survey to complete. Please find it here.

It is is very important for someone from each family to complete this survey!

More details:
  • The Culture and Climate Survey is part of SFUSD's accountability system and is one metric used to evaluate our school.
  • Parents with multiple children at Miraloma should fill out one survey for each child. If you have children in another SFUSD school, you should fill out a survey at that school as well.
  • It is very important that we get as many of our families to respond as possible so that we have data that truly represents the whole school and not just a few people. Everyone's voice is important!
  • The survey is available online and is translated into Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, and Arabic.
  • The survey will not be used in staff or teacher evaluations.
  • This survey will be anonymous. We will track how many families have completed the survey, but we will not know what any individual says on any question.
Thank you to everyone for helping to promote survey completion!

APR 22: SPRING FESTIVAL IS THIS SUNDAY!
JOIN IN THE FUN! Dig Into Terra-loma, Miraloma's
annual Spring Festival is THIS
Sunday, Apr 22nd (Earth Day) from 12-3pm. Free and open to all. Volunteer opportunities below!
VOLUNTEER:
Please volunteer to run a game, pass out popcorn or help set-up! Last year we had over 50 volunteers and the day was a success. Let's make this year even better! Feel free to sign up for one slot or several (at different times), help set-up or clean-up. Your kids can also hang with you to help run games. We need all the help we can get!

BAKE SALE:
Attention all bakers! We need your help to supply our fabulous bake sale with some goodies to sell.
Please sign up today! We will need cupcakes for the cupcake walk, and whatever else you'd like to donate to the sale. This year we are celebrating the Spring Festival on Earth Day. To keep our Earth tidy, please do not individually wrap any of your items to sell. If you bring a platter, or tray to display them on, please mark the bottom of it with your name so we can get it back to you. Thanks for supporting the bake sale! Questions? Contact the Hospitality Committee.

GAME PRIZE DONATIONS:
We are still collecting new and/or gently used toys and books for the game prizes until Friday. Please find Ramona or Ryan after drop off, or leave things in the Spring Festival box in the office.
