**SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS**
A NOTE FROM THE PTA PRESIDENT
Welcome to the 2018-19 school year!

I hope everyone had a fantastic summer! On behalf of the PTA  Board, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to all of the new parents  and students who will be joining our community and wish everyone  a smooth transition from summer to the school year. We are looking forward to another wonderful year at Miraloma, where our kids will learn, explore, share, grow, and thrive under our exceptional team of teachers, staff, and parents.

Looking forward to seeing you at Morning Circle, PTA meetings, and at this Thursday's Ice Cream Social where we'll have information about how parents can get involved and volunteer at Miraloma!

Linda Cheu
PTA President
BY FRIDAY, AUG 24: ONLINE MEAL APPLICATIONS, EMERGENCY CARDS & OTHER TO-DOS
We ask all families to complete the following by this Friday, August 24:
  1. S ubmit the Multipurpose Family Income Form:   We ask that all families  submit this form on SchoolCafe.com , even if you're not interested in free/reduced lunch. The expectation is that 100% of our school turns in an application as the information collected is a requirement for SFUSD and helps provides funding for our school. Only one application per family is needed. Current families should use their username/password from last year (or use the "forgot password" link to retrieve the info). If you are a new family, create a new account using "San Francisco USD" as your school district and your student's ID number, which can be found next to your child's name on the class assignment email that was sent on Aug. 17. Note that due to an oversight, Miraloma does not appear in the school drop down menu, but the application will still go through as long as your student ID number is correct. To learn more, visit SFUSD or Parents of Public Schools of SF.
  2. Pay for school lunch online: If your child will be eating school breakfast or lunch, please go to MyPaymentsPlus.com to conveniently pay for the meals in advance.
  3. Emergency Cards: Fill out your child's Emergency Card (given to all students on the first day of school) and return it by Friday to your teacher. This is essential information for the school to have on hand in order to contact you regarding your student.
  4. Community Agreements:  Review the Student Agreements and Family Agreements, sign them together with your children and turn them into your teacher. Hard copies will be sent home but you can also read them here if you'd like.
  5. School Policies: Please review our policies on our website here. They were created to ensure a healthy and safe school so thank you for following them.
