Maryland Coastal Bays Annual Report Card Released!

On October 24th, MCBP celebrated their annual report card release event by showcasing the highest score the Coastal Bays has received yet at 64% (B-). The Report Card is a scientific collaborative effort among the Maryland Coastal Bays Program, University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science - Integration and Application Network, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Virginia Institute of Marine Science, and the National Park Service. Funding for the publication is provided by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In addition to providing a snapshot of the health of our Bays, the report card highlights some of the amazing work our partners are doing and projects we are working on.

About the Delmarva Restoration and Conservation Network (DRCN)

The Delmarva Restoration and Conservation Network (DRCN), formed in 2017, is a collaborative of local, state, and Federal government agencies and NGOs working with private and public landowners and local governments to identify the most important places to protect and restore, and to obtain support and funding for voluntary restoration and conservation.

The DRCN Mission is to restore and conserve Delmarva’s landscapes, waterways, and shorelines that are special to its people, fundamental to its economy, and vital for its native fish, wildlife, and plants.
