What's New?
DRDP Modified Essential View allowed for 2021-22
The DRDP Modified Essential View is allowed for use in FY 2021-2022 by the California Department of Social Services and the California Department of Education. We encourage everyone to use the view (Comprehensive, Fundamental, Essential or Modified Essential) that provides the best "picture" of your children given the circumstances and settings.

The DRDP Modified Essential View is a smaller set of measures approved for use in state-funded programs during the 2021/2022 school year. The Modified Essential View consists of three (3) domains with 16 measures for preschoolers and 13 measures for infants and toddlers.

To access the Modified Essential View, select the Essential View in DRDP Online. The Modified Essential View measures will appear in green and the other essential measures will appear in black and rated as unable to rate. If an agency is using the Essential View, teachers should deselect Unable to Rate for the measures in black and select a rating.
Modified Essential View and DRDP Online Reports
When all the required measures of the Modified Essential View have a developmental level selected, all reports will be available. Please note that if any of the required measures of the Modified Essential View do not have a developmental level selected, scores will not be provided, and reports will not show that domain. Classroom planning reports will still show all measures rated. In order to receive domain scores for ATL-REG and sub-domain scores, teachers will need to complete the full Essential View.
Webinars
Desired Results is offering more than 30 webinars in August and September. We are excited to have teachers join us to expand their knowledge about the DRDP and DRDP resources.

Please note that the process for earning professional growth hours has changed slightly for 1-hour webinars. The CA ECE Workforce Registry no longer accepts registration the day of the training or after the training has occurred. All webinar participants that need professional growth hours will need to register through the Zoom link AND enroll through the workforce registry prior to the day of the webinar.
Sesame Street in Communities
Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street? Sesame Street has activities and tips for the challenges and joys of supporting children to be smarter, stronger, and kinder. Dive into the Sesame Street in Communities website for teacher workshops, information for parents, and activities for children on a variety of topics.

DRDP Online Licensed Vendors
Some early care programs may require licensed vendors to help them manage, access, analyze, display and/or report child data. Vendors listed on the Desired Results website have successfully completed the vendor license agreement process and are licensed to use the DRDP in the vendor's application.
