DRDP Online Release Request Feature

DRDP Online offers a feature that allows data to follow children when they change agencies across California or sites within your agency and prevents duplicating a child in the system.

Adding a New Child: When adding a new child, users may find that the child already has data in the system (e.g., their name and date of birth match). The child’s status may appear as “Still Enrolled” at another site or agency. In this case, please review the steps below:

  • To enroll the child in a new agency or site, the administrator can select the circled arrow Release Request button (on the right side of the Search for Child in DRDP Online System screen) and request the child's release from the previous agency or site where they are still enrolled.
  • The previous agency’s administrators will receive the request via an email and a message on their DRDP Online dashboard (the first landing page after signing in), where they can select the Pending Release Request button to accept or deny the release, acknowledging that the child has withdrawn from their agency or is still enrolled. (If the child’s status shows Still Enrolled after some time, and no action has been taken, please contact our support team.)
  • When the child's status shows Withdrawn, you may select the blue person icon with a + sign button to the right of their status to enroll them into your site or agency. You can now update their demographic page information and enroll them in your class.
