Over the past decade, Garrison Efird has made a name for himself not only within the North Texas real estate community, but spanning across US commercial markets having executed on requirements in over 60 cities throughout North America.
Garrison serves as a Managing Director for the global real estate brokerage giant Newmark (Nasdaq:NMRK), helping oversee office and industrial tenant representation efforts alongside industry titan Jim Cooksey. Newmark is leading commercial real estate advisor and service provider to large institutional investors, global corporations, and other owners and occupiers.
In the last year, Garrison advised corporations on over 4.0 million square-feet and successfully negotiated over $500 million in transactions since joining the firm; he also helped negotiate the single largest lease completed within the United States in 2024. His experience in both new lease and sublease disposition structures, renewals, build-to-suits, and multi-market strategic planning has generated millions in savings for clients and is consistently noted as a top producer.
Recognized as a pivotal broker to some of the most impactful deals in the region by The Dallas Business Journal, Costar and The Real Deal, Garrison's roster of corporate client experience includes Amazon, Robinhood, WNBA, Stockbridge, Motel 6, Neuberger Berman, Mars Foods, Logitech and The University of North Texas. Garrison was just named in D CEO's 2025 issue of the Dallas 500, which profiles the most influential business leaders and executives in Dallas/Fort Worth.
Garrison holds seats on numerous non-profit boards, philanthropic organizations, and selection committees including the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. He is a graduate of Fort Worth Christian School and holds a degree from the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas.
DREM has become a cornerstone for Garrison in business through the community and friendship of Judy Luby and Sharon Friedberg. Garrison lives in Dallas with his wife Mary Kate and daughter Emerson and are members to Highland Park United Methodist Church.
