ETD Screening Best Practices
S - Single-use. This principle follows the mandate of one swab or trap per sampling event. (Discard your swab or trap after each analysis).
T - Target area. Locate your key sampling areas or areas that may have been touched by the handler.
O - One way, one time. This important sampling fundamental reminds you to sample in a single direction, just once. Never sample back and forth over the same area.
P - Pressure. Good, firm pressure is a fundamental sampling principle. Always apply enough pressure necessary to capture and embed trace particles on your swab or trap.
