Durey Caldwell
OVERCOMING CHALLENGE, CADWELL FINDS A HOME AT DAYTONA STATE COLLEGE

Durey Cadwell, Class of 2019 DSC Athletic Scholarship Recipient is a freshman guard on the Daytona State College Men's Basketball team. He comes to DSC from Houston, Texas.
With a 5.3 GPA and 24 hours of college credits, Durey faced adversity before arriving at DSC. Durey explains, "This is a story about goals, ambitions, resiliency, opportunity and why the Falcon Family is important to me."

OUTSTANDING GRADS HONORED AT ALUMNI BREAKFAST

The Alumni & Friends Association’s annual breakfast recognized DSC alumni who have made significant contributions in their fields.
Alumni of the Year honors were given to Daytona Beach Police Chief Craig Capri; Keith Kennedy was the recipient of The Distinguished Faculty/Staff Award; the Young Alumni Excellence Award was bestowed upon Austin Albro; and Dr. April Flutie was chosen for the prestigious Margaret Crumley Award for Distinguished Achievement in Science.

L. GALE LEMERAND, DAYTONA STATE COLLEGE CHAMPION RECOGNIZED AT 2018 GALA

L. Gale Lemerand was recognized at the Daytona State College Foundation's 2018 Annual Gala for his unwavering support and advocacy of our students and our community.
In recognition of Mr. Lemerand's philanthropy, DSC, President Tom LoBasso bestowed upon him an Honorary Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Service degree.
