NEWS & EVENTS FROM DODGEVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT
| |
Dear Dodger Families,
I would like to take this opportunity to officially congratulate Mr. Bohnsack on being named the incoming District Administrator. He will begin his new position starting July 1, 2024. During the past four years, I have worked closely with Ryan in many areas of school administration. I have a high degree of confidence that he will excel in this position. Ryan has the right demeanor, knowledge and work ethic needed to ensure students will receive a high degree of education-related services. His understanding and connection to the community make him an excellent choice to lead the district in the coming years. In the near future, he and I will be working with the school board to develop a process for hiring his replacement at the high school. More information will be shared as the process unfolds. I look forward to working with Mr. Bohnsack in the weeks and months ahead to ensure the smoothest transition possible.
Sincerely,
Paul Weber

Voluntary Flu Vaccine Clinic at School
The Dodgeville School District partnered with the Iowa County Health Department to provide the influenza (flu) vaccine to our students on October 17, 2023. The flu vaccine is available for school-age children 4-18 years of age. Funding for school-based immunizations is provided by grant funds from the state of Wisconsin so there is no charge to families for these immunizations!
If you would like to have your child vaccinated at school, please sign the consent form and return to Nurse Kate by October 5, 2023. If you do not have access to a printer, copies are available for pickup in the school offices and will be sent home with elementary and middle school students. You do not need to return the form if you do not want your child(ren) to participate in the flu clinic.
If you have any questions, please contact Nurse Kate at knichols@draschools.org

Safety Responses Information
Each year we carefully review our safety plan for the District. There are times when the vocabulary related to what we label a safety-event changes. To better help families understand the differences between events, we have updated a short video that was first released several years ago. The video may be helpful in understanding what the event is and how we will respond.
