Project Advisory Committee Meeting October 6, 2015

objectives included DSRIP General & Project Updates presented by the Project Management Office, which highlighted current status report on the NYS DSRIP Program efforts, including project specific updates, our contracting strategy and upcoming survey efforts. Next, our cultural competency and health literacy Project Lead, Althea Williams, Senior Manager for Community & Provider Engagement, described our progress to date made within our DSRIP milestones related to defining cultural competency for the PPS.

Moderated by John Sardelis, Professor/Associate Chair at St Joseph's College and Board Member for Affinity Health, panelists included Susan Beane, MD, Vice President & Medical Director of Healthfirst, Joseph Schulman, Executive Director, North Shore-LIJ Care Solutions, Maria Basile, MD, MBA, Immediate Past President of the Suffolk County Medical Society and Member of the Medical Society of the State of New York on Value Based Purchasing, and Robert Chaloner, President & CEO of Southampton Hospital.

SCC Open Enrollment for new Partnerships Extended
DOH has announced they will be opening up the Performance Networks in mid-October so that PPSs may add additional partners to help them in achieving their project and performance goals. The SCC welcomes discussions now with potential partners who could contribute to the delivery of coordinated care and towards meeting our DSRIP goals.
For any Suffolk County provider that is not currently a partner in the Suffolk Care Collaborative, we welcome new interested partners to complete our Enrollment Attestation and return to Samuel Lin, Project Management Office at Samuel.Lin@stonybrookmedicine.edu by October 31, 2015. Click here to access our enrollment attestation and provider submission template
