Spotlight On...
Janis Webb

Tell us about your family! Married for 41 years to Dennis. Two children Laura and Darin who are grown and live in California. Our little love is Ellie May, our 3 year old corgi.

What have you been a part of with DST?  My first time on stage at DST was Steel Magnolias in 2007 (Clairee) In 2010, I played Mother Miriam in Agnes of God . In 2011, I played Big Mama in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof . And in 2012, I directed The Pillowman for the Actor’s Cafe. Currently I am playing Monica in The Bad Seed .

What was your favorite DST show and why? My favorite show is usually my current one ( The Bad Seed ) but I have to admit that Agnes of God holds a very special place in my heart.

What's your favorite activity outside of theatre? I enjoy reading, walking my dog, and going to local sports events. And of course I enjoy spending time with family and friends.

If you had $1,000,000 to donate to DST, what would you spend it on? A state of the art theater with HUGE dressing rooms and green rooms for the cast!
The Bad Seed
The Bad Seed takes its final bow this weekend!
Don't miss your last chance to catch this spooky and creepy classic story that audiences have been loving! Little Rhoda Penmark is the evil queen of the story. On the surface she is sweet, charming, full of old-fashioned graces, loved by her parents, admired by all her elders. But Rhoda’s mother has an uneasy feeling about her. When one of Rhoda’s schoolmates is mysteriously drowned at a picnic, Mrs. Penmark is alarmed. For the boy who was drowned was the one who had won the penmanship medal that Rhoda felt she deserved. Auditions for Disaster!
Disaster Auditions Coming Up This Sunday!
Come join us for this groovy show directed by Gary Crumm! It’s 1979, and New York’s hottest A-listers are lining up for the opening of a floating casino and discotheque. Also attending is a faded disco star, a sexy nightclub singer with her eleven-year-old twins, a disaster expert, a feminist reporter, an older couple with a secret, a pair of young guys who are looking for ladies, an untrustworthy businessman and a nun with a gambling addiction. What begins as a night of boogie fever quickly changes to panic as the ship succumbs to multiple disasters, such as earthquakes, tidal waves and infernos. As the night turns into day, everyone struggles to survive and, quite possibly, repair the love that they’ve lost… or at least escape the killer rats. Ages 16+. Auditions are Nov 18th at 6pm. Bring 16-32 bars of a style appropriate song (accompanist will be at the audition). For more info visit  HERE !
