WELCOME TO WORLD PUBLIC INTEREST JOURNALISM

Having learned how often the public is lied to and manipulated by mainstream media, I teach young peace and human rights activists the following principle: "If you are not a conspiracy theorist you don't understand the situation!"

It is covert agencies such as the CIA and the Mossad, for example, who have tried to discredit 9/11 truth researchers by labeling them as "conspiracy theorists." This accusation is laughable when one recognizes that Israel and USA covert agencies routinely conspire to hatch secret plots. 9/11 for example, was a highly sophisticated false flag operation, likely an inside job, blamed on some Arabs who served as patsies, and who gave false "confessions" under relentless torture.

DWF NEWS publishes many top notch investigative journalists who all too often face censorship both by mainstream media and on internet social platforms, many suspected to be controlled by Israeli and American Zionists. Human interest stories on TV almost always feature suffering Israeli families rather than devastated Palestinian families destroyed in much greater numbers by genocide.

Ever since Tel Aviv’s 1948 creation, much has been said and written about ‘Greater Israel’ – the notion Zionism’s ultimate end goal is the forcible annexation and ethnic cleansing of vast swaths of Arab lands for Jewish settlement, based on Biblical claims that this territory was promised to Jews by God. The media typically dismisses this concept as an antisemitic conspiracy theory or, at most, the fringe fantasy of a minuscule handful of Israelis.

The Nation has described the push to establish Greater Israel as “the central ideological goal” of Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud Party, which has dominated Israeli politics in recent decades. In July 2018, Israel passed the “Nation State of the Jewish People” law. It enshrines “the development of Jewish settlement as a national value.” Meanwhile, the state is legally obligated “to encourage and promote” the “establishment and consolidation” of settlements in illegally occupied territory.

This is based on the Jewish people’s “exclusive and inalienable right” to territory as far away from present Israel as Saudi Arabia. Old Testament terms such as “Judea and Samaria” are also employed. Markedly, this text is absent from the legislation’s official English translation. Israeli chiefs may not have wanted to make their irredentist, settler colonial ambitions quite so obvious.

The good news is, Israel has completely dropped all its masks. The bad news is it will go for land grabs everywhere. But this will be done opportunistically and without much forethought or strategic planning. In the end, which country besides the US will be able to support Israel publicly? ... ...  Jerusalem Post Targets MintPress After Expose' on Israeli Spies in US Media

In December, The Jerusalem Post published an investigation from Nicholas Potter, a “counter-extremism expert,” who falsely accused MintPress News of being part of a network of far-left, foreign government-funded outlets that push conspiracy theories and anti-Semitic extremism. The claims are untrue and are particularly ironic, considering the calls for the extermination and expulsion of Palestinians and Arab peoples the newspaper has published and because Potter is a German national whose job at the Post is directly funded by the German government.

The Jerusalem Post article attacked a series of MintPress investigations published late last year exploring the deep connections between U.S. media, the pro-Israel lobby, and the Israeli intelligence services. In this series, MintPress revealed that hundreds of former Israel lobbyists now work in top jobs in American corporate media, including for MSNBC, Fox News, CNN, and The New York Times. We also showed how former employees of an Israeli spying agency, Unit 8200, are trusted to write America’s news, including about Israel/Palestine – an enormous conflict of interest.

Nevertheless, the Post suggests that the best evidence of Israel lobby/U.S. media overlap is a “brief internship” at AIPAC. This is deeply misleading. In fact, that is one of the least substantial cases of the phenomenon we noted. The dozens of examples included the executive producer of MSNBC, who was an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) intelligence commander; a CNBC lead reporter who was previously an officer in the IDF’s public relations department before working for the Friends of the IDF in the U.S.; and a Fox News producer who was Benjamin Netanyahu’s aide at Israel’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations.

Potter seemed to take particular umbrage at our use of the word “spy” to describe Unit 8200 agents. This is surprising, given that most of the world’s top journalistic outlets regularly describe the organization as a spy agency, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, CNBC, The Financial Times, The Guardian, and the Times of London.

It is also commonly referred to as such in Israeli media, including the Jerusalem Post itself, which recently described Unit 8200’s function as “spying on the West Bank.” Thus, it is entirely reasonable to describe someone such as Axios political reporter Barak Ravid, who was, until at least 2023, a Unit 8200 analyst, as an “Israeli spy.”   READ MORE

 Abba Solomon commends Peter Beinart’s radical re-conception of Jewish life in Palestine in Beinart's new book, "Being Jewish After the Destruction of Gaza: A Reckoning."

The dominant self-conception of the Jewish story is innocence, repeated persecutions, and then redemption by creation of the Jewish nationalist State of Israel.

This narrative is critically examined in Peter Beinart’s new book, Being Jewish After the Destruction of Gaza: A Reckoning.

Beinart’s book says the maudlin story we Jews tell ourselves of our virtue and heroic endurance inoculates Jews from seeing Israel’s agency in creating the resistance it faces:

“We must now tell a new story to answer the horror that a Jewish country has perpetrated… We are not history’s permanent virtuous victims.”

Beinart, former editor of The New Republic, is now an editor-at-large of Jewish Currents, and a New York Times contributor.

He has been in a 20-year progression of seeing, more and more sharply, the “Jewish and democratic” state of Israel as anti-democratic and incompatible with Jewish tradition.

He writes that support for a Jewish state has become “idolatry,” permitting endless killing, torture and oppression of Palestinians:

“There is no limit. No matter how many Palestinians die, they do not tip the scales, because the value of a Palestinian is finite and the value of a Jewish state is infinite.”

Contemporary Jewish life is filled with that idolatry, he observes. “In most of the Jewish world today, rejecting Jewish statehood is a greater heresy than rejecting Judaism itself.”

Beinart’s book is an analysis of Zionist apologetics that are necessary to both regard oneself as moral and defend what Israel has done, from the 1947-49 Nakba — terroristic expulsion of Palestinian Arabs from their communities within present-day Israel — to Gaza in 2025.

He denounces dehumanizing, demonizing, Zionist lies about Palestinian resistance:

“These claims don’t withstand even modest scrutiny. They’re less arguments than talismans. They ward off dangerous emotions like grief and shame.” READ MORE

...Nevertheless, the new concept of human security challenged the state-centric paradigm of security by stressing the individual, as the focal referent, and object of security. In other words, studies of human security deal with security for the people (individual or group) rather than of governmental administration or/and national state (borders). ... Nonetheless, today, ... security studies must take into account a broader range of concerns and challenges than simply defending the state from external armed action.

The concept of human security is dealing with the next seven scopes or areas of research:

1. Political security: to ensure that the humans living in a society that honors individual freedom and groups from the policy of governmental authorities to control information and free speech.
2. Personal security: to protect individuals or groups from physical violence, either by state authorities or external factors, from violent individuals and sub-state factors, from domestic abuse, and from predatory adults.
3. Community security: to protect a group of individuals (usually the minority group) from the loss of their traditional culture, habits, relationships, and values, as well as from sectarian (religious) and ethnic violence.
4. Economic security: to assure fundamental income for individuals from their paid work, or, in the last resort, from some charity organization.
5. Environmental security: to protect individuals from both short/long-term destruction of nature usually as the result of human-made threats in nature and poisoning of the natural environment.
6. Food security: to ensure that all people at all times have both physical and economic access to basic food in order to survive.
7. Health security: to guarantee minimum protection from diseases and unhealthy lifestyles.

The studies of human security are closely related to the research on the negative impact of defense spending on development (“guns vs butter”) as the arms race and development are in a competitive (opposite) relationship (in this sense, probably the case of the U.S. military spending and the development of the U.S. society is the best example). In fact, the proponents of human security require more resources for development and less for arms (a dilemma of “disarmament and development”).  READ MORE

On 28 January 2025, the well-known Calcutta daily ‘The Telegraph’ carried an article entitled ‘Rub your eyes: Hindu Rashtra Constitution to be unveiled at Mahakumbh on Basant Panchami’. The seemingly innocuous inside-page article, speaks volumes not only of the insidious yet meticulous plans which are being made, but also of the calculated attempts to destroy the secular character of the nation and ultimately the sanctity of the Constitution of India.

Over the years, and particularly since 2014, when the BJP seized the reins of power once again – every effort is being made to denigrate and demonise the minorities of India and especially the Muslims, the Christians and the Sikhs; they have also been derogatively referred to as ‘terrorists’, ‘converters’ and ‘khalistanis’, respectively. There is a systematic move to paint the minorities as ‘anti-national’! Personnel and properties of the minority communities are regularly targeted.

The Judiciary –and in particular, the Supreme Court – has been one bastion of hope for the minorities, given its fundamental role and responsibility in protecting the letter and the spirit of the Constitution. Unfortunately, in the recent past, the Judiciary at various levels seem to have abdicated this non-negotiable duty – of impartiality, objectivity and of not siding with any particular faith and/or ideology. There are facts and other indicators to substantiate this! 

Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav, a sitting judge of the Allahabad High Court is a classic example!

On 8 December, he addressed the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) legal cell, in Allahabad High Court on ‘Uniform Civil Code–A Constitutional Imperative’. He argued in favour of a Uniform Civil Code and demanded for changes in the Muslim personal laws. His speech smacked of blatant ‘majoritarianism’ saying that India should function according to the wishes of the “majority,” meaning Hindus! ...

 The buzz around Xiaohongshu and then DeepSeek has had an unusually high volume of westerners speaking positively about China for the last couple of weeks.

Western liberals who fancy themselves enlightened and critical of power tend to get very squirmy and uncomfortable in their skin when they hear people saying positive things about the PRC, and love nothing more than to tell you that China is just as evil and tyrannical as the western power alliance, if not worse.

This is objectively, measurably false. China hasn’t spent the 21st century killing people by the millions in wars of aggression.

China isn’t circling the planet with hundreds of military bases while working to destroy any nation or group anywhere in the world who disobeys it.

China isn’t strangling nations around the globe with starvation sanctions for refusing to bow to its dictates.

China didn’t just spend 15 months lighting the middle east on fire and backing a live-streamed genocide.

China hasn’t spent the last three years endangering the world in frequently terrifying acts of nuclear brinkmanship with a rival nuclear superpower.

Only the U.S.-centralized empire has done this.

Whenever I point this out I get empire apologists going “Well yeah, SO FAR! We haven’t seen China doing all that evil foreign policy shit YET because they’re still not powerful enough!” READ MORE
