Sadistic Psychopathic Leaders

When I read Craig Murray's "Joy at Death & Destruction" I knew I had to add my own commentary, having worked as a clinical psychologist with sociopaths and psychopaths in the California prison system for 20 years.

I was further stimulated by a friend who spontaneously described "psychopaths" as "serial killers who would never be satisfied!" This very relevant observation from a layperson was troubling, but had serious implications: Namely that the death and destruction will not stop, even after Gaza and Iran.

Murray is describing the behavior of what I would diagnose as "Sadistic Psychopaths." I think of the Gaza genocide; of the Epstein/Maxwell molestation of children; of attacks on Libya, Iraq, Yemen, Iran; of endless wars; of economic warfare via blockades; of assassinations; of Nazi-like propaganda & lies.

Psychopaths lack conscience and remorse. Frequently they are intelligent and with good social skills -- think of the "con man" type. Some become leaders of nations or large corporations. Psychopaths are as close to "evil" as one can imagine; they are much worse than sociopaths who have a touch more conscience (superego).

Trump's economic blockade of countries and ethnic groups he doesn't like will kill innocent civilians including women and children, but Trump will do it anyway. Too bad for Cuba. Too bad for Iran. Too bad for Venezuela. Too bad for Palestine. Too bad for Africa.

Unfortunately, psychopaths are notoriously resistant to psychotherapy. As Freud would point out, psychopaths can rationalize and justify almost any criminal, murderous action.

When I think of "serial killers" I think of "endless wars." And I dread the psychopaths who brag about how powerful their war machine is, who revel in pride when a weaker country is brought to its knees, its people slaughtered.

After the genocide in Gaza, on a far larger field in Iran, those in power in Israel and the U.S. have a lust to kill and they revel in impunity.

The Epstein Files reveal the same dynamic. We live in a society where those who obtain power wish to exercise it in the cruelest possible ways against the most defenceless.

Iran is showing commendable fighting spirit, but American military power should not be underestimated. They have the ability to destroy Iran from the air, to obliterate the institutions of the state and all of the key civilian infrastructure. Electricity, water, healthcare, education, administration, policing all can be knocked out just as they were systematically in Gaza and — on a scale insufficiently recalled — in Iraq.

I witnessed close up over five months the 80 to 100,000 homes destroyed in Lebanon by Israel in the last three years. We have all seen what they did to Gaza. The notion they cannot do this to Iran is simply wrong. It requires a colossal effort of will, a mania for killing, a vast amount of money and the depletion of the U.S. arsenal. But they can do it.

Pete Hegseth, U.S. secretary for war, simply comes over as a Nazi thug. He plainly is enjoying this as much as Netanyahu, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir or Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich. He has gloatingly promised “Death and destruction from the sky, all day long.” He repeatedly signals ever-escalating bombing.

This entire conflict sounds like a dreadful regional disaster in which millions could die – and it is. But to the U.S. and Israeli Zionists, the prospect of a devastated region is precisely what they wish to achieve to facilitate Israeli expansion and American seizure of resources.

There is an urgent need for regime change – in the West. The only way for this carnage to stop is for the people of the West to remove their Zionist-controlled ruling classes.

“The Pentagon’s law of war manual states unequivocally that such statements are war crimes,” said a legal scholar who previously worked in the Pentagon’s office of general counsel. 

Pentagon Secretary Pete Hegseth’s statement last week that “no quarter” will be given to “our enemies” in Iran—a declaration, in military parlance, that surrendering combatants will be executed rather than taken prisoner—constituted a clear violation of international law and a war crime.

During a press conference on Friday, Hegseth said that US forces attacking Iran “will keep pushing, keep advancing; no quarter, no mercy for our enemies.”

“'No quarter’ isn’t some wannabe tough guy line—it means something,” said Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), a retired US Navy officer. “An order to give no quarter would mean to take no prisoners and kill them instead. That would violate the law of armed conflict. It would be an illegal order. It would also put American service members at greater risk. Pete Hegseth should know better than to throw around terms like this.”

 Ryan Goodman, founding co-editor-in-chief of the digital law and policy journal Just Security, told Axios that Hegseth is “putting the American military on a track to lawlessness in which we will lose more and more allies.” Goodman noted that in the wake of the Second World War, the US prosecuted senior German military officials for refusing quarter to enemy soldiers.

On March 13th, a Pentagon memo leaked outlining a strike plan titled “Tehran Power Grid Neutralization.” The plan: hit 12 power stations around Tehran with precision munitions. Effect: 9 million people without electricity for 3-6 weeks. Goal: cripple Iranian command and control. Risk assessment buried in the memo: “High probability of Iranian retaliation against U.S. naval assets.”

On March 14th, IRGC Commander Hossein Salami responded directly: “If the United States strikes Tehran’s power infrastructure and puts our capital in darkness, we will sink the USS Gerald R. Ford with every sailor aboard. We have the missiles. We have the targeting data. We have the will.”

The USS Ford carries 4,539 crew plus 2,500 air wing personnel. ... If Iran sinks the Ford, it becomes the deadliest single day for U.S. military since the Battle of Antietam 1862 — worse than Pearl Harbor's 2,403 killed. This is not hypothetical. This is Iran's top military commander naming the specific ship, the specific consequence, the specific number of lives.

Iran already hit the Ford once (March 11th—drone struck flight deck, fuel fire, 400 evacuated). Proved Aegis defense cannot stop sea-skimming threats. Iran has Khorramshahr-4 ballistic missiles with cluster warheads: one missile becomes 10 submunitions at 7km altitude. Launch 20 missiles = 200 submunitions. Aegis engages maybe 150-160. But 40-50 get through. Forty warheads hitting a carrier = sinking with 5,000 aboard.

Some support strike: “cripple Tehran, end the war.”]” Others oppose: “humanitarian catastrophe, unacceptable retaliation risk.” Trump reportedly asked: “If they sink the Ford, what do we do?” Answer: full-scale war (possibly nuclear [Trump is considering the possibility of escalating this war to the nuclear level; that’s how crazy and evil he is. The Israel-US war on Iran is engulfing the entire Middle East and could escalate to global war. The economic consequences are already severe and could become catastrophic. The Strait of Hormuz carries approximately one-fifth of all oil traded globally, and 30 percent of the world’s LNG. A sustained closure of the Strait would trigger an energy shock without modern precedent.

The conflict is likely to spiral out of control because the US and Israel are dead set on hegemony in the Arab world and West Asia—one that combines Israeli territorial expansion with American-backed regime control across the region. The ultimate goal is a Greater Israel that absorbs all historic Palestine, combined with compliant Arab and Islamic governments stripped of genuine sovereignty, including on choices as to how and where they export their oil and gas.

This is delusional. No country across the region wants Israel to run wild as it is doing, murdering civilians across the entire region, destroying Gaza and the West Bank, invading Lebanon, striking Iraq and Yemen, and carpet-bombing Tehran. No country wants its hydrocarbon exports under effective US control.

The war will end if and only if global revulsion at US and Israeli aggression force these countries to stop. Short of that, we are likely to see the Middle East in flames and the world in an energy and economic crisis unprecedented in modern history. The Bully Nations: Why the UN is a Global War System

The United Nations has not been able to prevent wars, eliminate weapons of mass destruction, save the environment, or adequately protect human rights. 

In part because the UN was never designed to be a democratic world federation, it has been severely limited in what it can accomplish. The so-called Security Council's P-5 nations use their undemocratic veto power to allow wars and to block world disarmament and peace.  

Because of the defects in the UN Charter, nations in conflict have only war as the final arbiter. Nonviolent resolution of disputes requires a democratically elected world parliament and a well-designed world court system with enforceable world laws. These peaceful methods to resolve conflicts are not available in the present UN geopolitical system which some consider to be a global war system.

Earth Constitution to the rescue

The Earth Constitution (EC) drafted by the World Constitution & Parliament Association (WCPA) is designed to correct the fatal flaws built into the UN Charter, and thereby to provide nonviolent means to resolve conflicts rather than resorting to war as the final arbiter.

The EC goes much further than providing a means to end war and eliminate nuclear weapons. It also provides a governing structure to deal more effectively with environmental problems and human rights issues such as poverty, freedom of speech, and the right to a peaceful and just world. 

If the United Nations is unable, or unwilling, to reform itself, the Earth Constitution has been drafted to insure that the urgently needed global system change is possible.

Utilizing the EC, Earth Federation government is being developed as an independent world organization parallel to the UN in the event that the UN continues to be unable or unwilling to do its primary jobs.  

Because the UN is undemocratic and lacks enforceable world law, rogue nations routinely violate world law. The criminal leaders of powerful Bully nations know they can violate international law and will never be held accountable --they will never go to jail despite the existence of the UN and the International Criminal Court. 

WCPA has been the organizing agent for sessions of the PROVISIONAL WORLD PARLIAMENT (PWP) with the PWP now established enough to organize subsequent sessions of the PWP, plan a world constiuent assembly, and establish a permanent location site likely in India. 

The PWP's first act under World Law Number One was to Outlaw Nuclear Weapons and Other Weapons of Mass Destruction. The EARTH FEDERATION'S Parliament illustrates in its first legislative Act the immediate benefit of a federation under a well-written world constitution.

The Constitution for the Federation of Earth (CFE) is a blueprint to build an emerging democratic world federation -- a strategy for the possibility that "significant United Nations reform" proves totally inadequate and the UN Charter must be replaced.

If the UN cannot be turned into a democratic world federation, then the Earth Federation will fill the void. The strategic advantage for the Federation is that it need not wait for approval from the nation-states, important as they ultimately will be. The Federation can immediately begin building a new world organization through individuals, NGOs and communities who ratify the CFE or otherwise aid the Earth Federation's development.

The CFE is the culmination of over 40 years of dedicated work by the World Constitution and Parliament Association (WCPA) which was formed in 1959. WCPA consists of a group of internationalists originally founded by Philip Isely (USA), with help from Terence Amerasinghe (Sri Lanka) and Reinhart Ruge (Mexico). 

World citizens & world citizenship

Their Call for a World Constitutional Convention was circulated worldwide to individuals and to national governments. Three World Constituent Assemblies later, and with the involvement of hundreds of citizens from over 25 countries, the CFE was adopted in Innsbruck, Austria in 1977, and approved after 59 amendments in Troia, Portugal in 1991.

Philip Isely, a leading figure, was a fiery critic of the United Nations. He served on the original drafting commission along with lawyers Terrence Amerasinghe (Sri Lanka), D.M. Spencer (India) and Syed Muhammad Husain (Bangladesh). International lawyer Max Habicht (Switzerland) chaired the 1977 meetings when the CFE was first adopted.

These visionary efforts did not go unrecognized. There was a huge list of "honorary sponsors" for the World Constituent Assembly and Provisional World Parliament, with a dozen Nobel Prize winners, such as Linus Pauling, George Wald, and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Personal ratifiers included Dr. Robert Muller, former Assistant Secretary-General of the UN, Dr. Rashmi Mayur (India), and Rev. Toshio Miyake (Japan).

The Earth Federation strategy is far more than an attempt to build a working and growing democratic world federation. ... the CFE is the heart and soul of a new vision for our world, where idealism is an expected new standard. The Earth Constitution (aka "CFE") symbolizes a new spirit for all citizens, and especially for the peace, environmental and human rights movement.

World patriotism

The Earth Federation's principles include world patriotism as the highest form of patriotism; unity in diversity; good government; openness, not secrecy; and authentic democracy.

The Federation's Provisional World Parliament outlawed weapons of mass destruction. Ultimate goals are to abolish wars; protect Mother Earth's environment; operate a world judiciary with real enforcement; defend universal human rights; and reduce poverty.

Professor Glen Martin, President of WCPA, declares that the Earth Federation invites in all and excludes no one. It recognizes every human being as a citizen, and invites every nation to be a member, with all the rights, privileges, and benefits that apply under the Constitution. ...

A growing, popularized Earth Federation not only provides a model for what is needed for legitimate global governance. It also is an alternative to UN Reform if the UN continues to permit only token involvement, such as the restricted "observer status" recently granted the Inter-Parliamentary Union, even though the IPU represents 130 national parliaments.

We'd all like UN reform to succeed. But if that is unrealistic, then it's just common sense to have a brand new replacement strategy waiting in the wings. The UN General Assembly, under the authority of the Earth Constitution, can become the House of Nations as part of the Provisional World Parliament.

That's where the Earth Federation/Earth Constitution/

World Parliament is a potential game-changer. It is the parallel strategy to UN Reform with rapidly growing interest from activists who are developing the House of Peoples and the House of Nations to form a democratic World Parliament to replace the failed and undemocratic UN Security Council P-5 veto powers.
