Psychological Fact: Nuclear Disarmament Requires World Federal Government

This article appeared two weeks ago and is repeated today because of its underling importance to undersanding why world federal government (a "new UN") is necessary to permanently end wars between nations.

There is one word that explains why nuclear disarmament conferences have failed: DISTRUST.

I came to this conclusion while studying reports from the recent "Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons" (NPT) Review Conference. These conferences have been held since 1970 but with no success. The situation is so bad that UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres lamented on April 27th that "Arms control is dying."

Reporter Damilola Banjo for Pass Blue wrote that a recurring problem is that "There has been little to no trust among those countries to even think of debating a consensus agreement..." "Mistrust rules the day."

With the current United Nations, each nation has an absolute sovereign right to conduct its military affairs in secret. The problem is that secrecy breeds paranoia. The result? Nations distrust each other and refuse to disarm.

The solution: Trust but verify (as said by President Ronald Reagan). There must be open inspections everywhere in all countries, with no exceptions. But the UN Charter's right to (absolute) sovereignty is a poison pill for nuclear disarmament.

Removing paranoia and building trust can be accomplished by converting from the UN confederation to a democratic world federal governing system. The US founders abandoned the Articles of Confederation and replaced it with the US Federal Constitution to stop the growing conflicts between the 13 colonies. The 194 separately armed nation-states should do the same.

History shows paranoia is understandable for the simple fact that invariably somewhere there is a psychopath ruling a nation, and that nation can't be trusted. Psychopaths lack conscience, lie, and are capable of mass murder to control others, doing so without remorse. The UN is hampered by the fact that there is no sheriff in town at the global level.

Building world union and trust can be accomplished if the world community and the nations begin to support the blueprint given us by the Earth Constitution, its emerging World Parliament, and Earth Federation government (a "new UN").

Israeli invasion of Lebanon another Zionist war crime

'Psychopath' Ben-Gvir Slammed for Demand That 'All Lebanon Must Burn'

Brad Reed       Common Dreams

Ben-Gvir’s invocation of mass slaughter came as the US is trying to negotiate an end to President Donald Trump’s illegal war with Iran.

EXCERPTS

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir drew widespread condemnation on Friday when he declared that “all Lebanon must burn” shortly after four Israeli soldiers were killed in a fight with Hezbollah.

In a social media post, Ben-Gvir said that Israel should retaliate for the deaths of the soldiers with a scorched-earth military campaign aimed at killing large numbers of Lebanese people.

“With all due respect to the Americans, Israel must make it clear to the entire world that the blood of our sons and the security of our citizens are not forfeit,” he wrote. “All of Lebanon must burn.”

Ben-Gvir’s demands for mass slaughter were widely condemned as the ravings of a genocidal maniac.

“You are a psychopath and one of the greatest threats to the security of Israel and of Jewish people around the world,” journalist Yashar Ali wrote in response to Ben-Gvir. “You belong in a psychiatric institution, not in a government role.”

Humza Yousaf, former first minister of Scotland and leader of the Scottish National Party, argued that Ben-Gvir’s ravings should end any question about the nature of Israel’s current government.

“For those who continue to deny Israel has any intention of committing genocide then read this tweet from a minister at the heart of the Israeli government,” Yousaf wrote. “He belongs in the Hague, convicted and in a jail cell. READ MORE

Why Are Governments Killing More Children Than Rogue Militias?

Damilola Banjo      PassBlue

Why are governments killing more children than rogue militias?

For three decades, the UN has been tracking the gravest abuses inflicted on children in war, and in all that time, nonstate armed groups were the leading perpetrators. That changed in 2025, according to the secretary-general’s latest report on children and armed conflict, or CAAC, released on June 17, 2026. Government forces became the leading killers and maimers of children in multiple conflicts worldwide, the report revealed. Of the 76 parties making up its “list of shame,” only nine are government security forces, yet they were responsible for more violations against children than the 67 armed groups named.

... The report documented a shocking 34 percent surge in verified child killings compared with the previous year. Increased use of AI and drones by state forces contributed to the jump. “When states, on whom the obligation to protect children falls, instead contribute to their suffering, it signals the deeper erosion of respect for international law,” a senior UN official told reporters.          READ MORE

Ukraine's military has a real Nazi problem

Marta Havryshko     Quincy Center for Responsible Statecraft

When Vladimir Putin launched his invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, he claimed one of his goals was the country’s “denazification.” The Kremlin still uses this narrative as a cornerstone of its war propaganda.

In their zeal to deconstruct Russian propaganda, Western elites created a propaganda myth of their own: there are no Nazis in Ukraine. This fiction required the whitewashing of Azov, a unit founded in 2014 by the neo-Nazi group Patriot of Ukraine under the leadership of Andriy Biletsky.

Azov became notorious for extremist ideology, Nazi symbolism, and allegations of war crimes in the Donbas. In 2018, the U.S. Congress banned the group from receiving American weapons, funding, or training. After Russia’s full-scale invasion, that stigma vanished almost overnight. Kyiv repackaged Azov [as] the 3rd Assault Brigade. Western media rebranded and whitewashed it.

Questioning this narrative became taboo and labeled as “Russian propaganda.”

Neo-Nazi networks are deeply embedded in parts of Ukraine’s military structure. Some Ukrainian military units have incorporated Nazi-linked symbols into their official insignia.

The Zelensky government — and President Volodymyr Zelensky himself as commander-in-chief — have made a political bargain with the far right. Since 2022, far-right activists and networks have flooded into the security and defense sector. In conditions of total war and chronic manpower shortages, this alliance ... is becoming entrenched. Ukraine’s Western partners ... tolerate extremists inside Ukraine’s armed forces as long as those extremists continue fighting.

Note: Our Substack, Working Together To End the War On Peace in Ukraine, investigates how US collaboration with extremist nationalist groups and neo-Nazis in Ukraine helped contribute to today's Russia-Ukraine war.

We also provide evidence that US and NATO policies, covert intelligence agency operations, media censorship, and corporate profiteering have fueled the conflict while blocking genuine peace efforts. Betting the planet on a dangerous nuclear assumption

The West just proved that it thinks Russia is too chicken to fight a nuclear war. What if it is wrong?

Don Hank              substack.com

Who could not be alarmed by this signal (failure by Politico to print Lavrov’s important article) that the west does not care about nuclear war?

EXCERPTS

If they had published Lavrov’s piece about how the West deliberately ignored Russia’s warnings and his messages about the impending danger of nuclear war, then a large number of westerners would have known at least that there is a danger of nuclear war with Russia, and in a country that is a democracy or at least pretends to be (which is what the US and Europe are), then they would at least be able to pretend they are democratic.

They did not even hesitate to do just the opposite. They effectively HID Lavrov’s warning.

As if Russia were NOT a nuclear state with all the capability to strike, and MOST IMPORTANTLY as if it had no REASON to do so.

As if it had not been lied to about NATO’s move toward Russia, as if it had not been struck by drones and missiles supplied by EUROPEAN factories to Ukraine – in fact they made no bones about it, proudly supplying lethal weapons to Ukraine – a PROUDLY NAZI state of the kind that had claimed 27 MILLION Russian lives in world war two. That was the true aim, to destroy the ally.

What Lavrov said

The editors of the European publication did not find the courage to publish the text in which the Russian Foreign Minister simply and honestly outlined Moscow’s position. They did not refute the facts or challenge the arguments. ...

The article “Ukraine, Europe, and Global Security” contained neither threats nor ultimatums—only a statement of facts that the West prefers to ignore, because doing so would make them very afraid.

First and foremost: Europe’s course toward confrontation with Russia creates serious risks for global security. Lavrov bluntly warned that a direct clash between NATO and Russia could rapidly escalate into a nuclear exchange with catastrophic consequences. This isn’t a threat—it’s a warning.

Second: Ukraine is viewed by the West as the “strike force” of future European armed forces.

Third: France’s plans to create a “European nuclear umbrella” are a path to disaster, not to strengthened security. Europe, which constantly accuses Russia of militarism, is itself quietly rearming and preparing for a major war.

These three simple points frightened the Politico editorial team. Because they destroy the main myth of Western propaganda: that Russia is the aggressor and Europe an innocent victim. Lavrov simply flipped the picture, revealing the other side that European elites so carefully conceal.

NATO on the doorstep: Finland, Sweden, and the “strike force”

Finland officially became a NATO member on April 4, 2023. Sweden joined on March 7, 2024. What does this mean for Russia?

... New military contingents are already being formed there.

NATO’s forward forces are being assembled in Lapland, a region of Finland bordering Russia. Russia is forced to create a separate military district and further fortify its borders.

Western elites have three goals, and they all lead to the same result: escalation.

The first goal is to create an enemy image. Russia must become the “evil” that justifies any military expenditure. A well-known tool is being used for this: Russophobia, which the European Union generates on an industrial scale.   READ MORE

WARNING: Predictive AI is being wired into the nuclear arsenal

The AI Ghost in the Nuclear War Machine

Daniel Boguslaw      The New Republic

The injection of this new technology into the military seems like a fever dream. But it's a reality we're hurtling toward, ready or not.

EXCERPTS

An examination of government documents, private sector contracting records, and the little noticed statements of military commanders suggests that the same artificial intelligence that allowed frictionless decapitation in Iran is now coming to the nuclear arsenal—with potentially world-altering consequences. While much noise has been made about safeguarding the nuclear command from AI, with constant reassurances of “human-in-the-loop” safeguards, a different escalatory threat has fallen by the wayside: left of launch operations.

With the integration of AI into the nuclear command and control infrastructure, escalation may soon begin on the ground, before the launch codes have been entered and the bunkers sealed. This new doctrine is known as “left of launch” and AI is increasingly being integrated into the systems used to predict when a nuclear weapon is being launched, as well as the assets that could be degraded to prevent a first strike.

But while the generals advising Rhombus about the promise of AI’s use on the battlefield are charging full steam ahead, not every retired general is in alignment. Prior to his retirement, Lt. Gen. John N.T. Shanahan served as director of the Joint Artificial Intelligence Center, a Department of Defense component studying the integration of AI onto the battlefield.

In an article for the Arms Control Association Shanahan wrote: “One especially destabilizing scenario involves the widespread application of AI to detect and continuously monitor the ground, sea, and airborne nuclear forces of other states. Adversary integration of AI-enhanced systems … could erode confidence in a state’s assured retaliation posture. This loss of confidence could in turn increase incentives for preemptive strikes, weakening the logic of deterrence and undermining strategic stability. The problem becomes even more acute if such surveillance and tracking technologies are paired with AI-enhanced automation of decision-making or launch processes, heightening first-strike incentives during a crisis.” READ MORE

EARTH CONSTITUTION WATCH

EDITOR: The Provisional World Parliament is in the process of research on AI as to its potential usefulness, and the possible dangers this technology may pose. Currently there are different opinions as to what should and should not be regulated.

There are no clear set of standards applied universally. Nations differ both within, and between themselves as to what should be allowed, and what should be restricted. At this stage the Provisional World Parliament will attempt to draft some trial world legislation for AI that would potetially be applied to all nations and AI corporations in keeping with Earth Constitution principles.

Creating quality world laws for AI will require a lot of trial and error due to the complex issues involved ranging from use by the militaries in wars, identifying environmental problems, violating human rights, seeking health discoveries and much more.

Silicon Valley software and 120 dead Iranian school children

AI & the US War on Iran

Vijay Prashad       Consortium News

The Iranian schoolhouse in Minab stands as a warning that goes beyond a single strike, or company, or war. It warns of a future in which technological power advances faster than public accountability.

In the southern Iranian city of Minab, where the heat rises from the earth in shimmering waves and the reality of imperialism lingers in every port and military installation, a missile struck a school on Feb. 28.

The strike killed 156 people, notably 120 schoolchildren, which the Iranian government immediately called a “blatant crime.” The United Nations called the attack “a grave violation of humanitarian law.

The murder of the children has opened a window into one of the central questions of our age: who bears responsibility when a machine enters the chain of violence?

What role AI played remains unclear. Press reports indicate that the U.S. military’s Maven Smart System, which incorporates AI tools including Anthropic’s Claude model, was involved in military operations against Iran.

What is remarkable is that the leaders of the AI industry are no longer standing outside the machinery of war. They are inside it. When asked about the strike, Anthropic’s CEO Dario Amodei said that he did “not know exactly” how Claude had been used in this strike, which he described as “mistakes” that are “really, really terrible.” READ MORE
