"The text in this first article is directed to Evangelicals and to those interested in dialoguing with them, and is not in any way intended to proselytize anyone." -Don Hank
I am particularly concerned about US Evangelical Zionists because they have accepted a badly warped interpretation of biblical texts that are not in any way ambiguous as written, and in so doing, they have aligned themselves with the criminal regime of Tel Aviv, thereby influencing their fellow Americans and especially politicians, to continue the bloodshed in Palestine that is shamefully supported by the US regime and, more shamefully, by the US Evangelical church. I believe our Islamophobic policies will never change unless the Evangelical support for the Israeli atrocities and genocide can be curtailed.
My main goal in addressing Evangelicals is to enlighten them as to the errors in their theology that lead to the tragedy in Palestine, and also recently in Lebanon and Syria. This is not intended to straighten them out theologically but to persuade them to stop supporting crimes that stand in direct opposition to the Bible.
I keep getting links to posts from a "Christian" Zionist, whom I finally asked "do you stand with Israel?" He said he did because Genesis 12:3 says, speaking to Abram, "I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you."
Based on this verse, many foolish Evangelicals deduce that Netanyahu may not be accused of the many crimes against humanity that he openly commits and by the way (BTW), he is brazen about this because he understands the bewildered mindset of many US Evangelicals.
These simple-minded "Christian" Zionists do NOT seem to notice that neither the above-cited verse nor any passage in the Bible says or even suggests that no Jew may be accused of a crime even if they commit many heinous crimes. (If that were the case, it would have been a sin to accuse Jeffrey Epstein of his sexual crimes. Absurd, of course).
By taking the side of a vicious murderer, these so-called "Christians" in fact unwittingly renounce their faith in Jesus and in the God of the Old Testament as well, who taught that murder is a crime and made no exceptions. (And no, the Palestinians are a people far removed from the Old Testament Amalekites).
In fact, Jesus went further, saying:
It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
and...
Suffer the little children to come unto me (how can anyone believe that the gentle Jesus, who loved children, could EVER endorse the infanticide going on under our noses in the Middle East? Clearly, so-called "Christian" Zionists are simply pulling "scripture" out of thin air when they unthinkingly mouth the words "I stand with Israel." I suspect their main motivation is cowardly, namely, to avoid the Genesis curse, which has nothing to do with Netanyahu's crimes.)
Further, Galatians 12:3 says: And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.
This teaching was not intended to demote the Jews, only to promote believers in Christ. However, to a Christian, this verse deflates "Christian" Zionism, because it equates Jews and Christian Gentiles.
To put it succinctly, Evangelicals who believe in Zionism are denying the promise in this verse and other equivalents, and according to their own scriptures, they are blasphemers.
And those sickies who think no one is entitled to objectively denounce a crime committed by a Jew simply because he or she is a Jew needs to get back on their meds.
Finally, though I have no intention of proselytizing for Islam, I need to say that in terms of the support for genocide, I see no fault in the Muslims, whose behavior is, ironically, considerably more in line with Christianity than that of US Evangelicals.
BTW, while Evangelicals constitute possibly Trump's largest support base, it is obvious from the biblical passages I have cited that Trump and his misfit followers are closer to Satanism than to Christianity. READ MORE
