Hi Da Vinci Connect TK-8 Families,

We hope everyone is having a wonderful October! This month is Filipino American History Month, a time to celebrate the history, culture, and contributions of Filipino Americans. PBS SoCal has some wonderful resources highlighting the legacy of Filipino Americans in Southern California.

We hope you’ll join us for our Multicultural Fair this Wednesday from 3:00–5:00 p.m.! We look forward to coming together to celebrate the many cultures that make our community so special. See below for more details!

Make Up Picture Day!

All photo proofs from this week's Picture Day will be e-mailed from Stacee through a photo gallery service called PhotoDay. You should receive an e-mail in your inbox by end of next week with purchasing options from the gallery!

Teacher Led Math Workshops

We’ve decided to replace PEC 2 this semester with workshops offered by individual teachers based on the specific needs of their classes. These workshops will primarily focus on helping families get up and running with Zearn and CPM, though there may be other offerings as well. Please keep an eye out for these opportunities, as they will be shared directly by individual teachers.

Family Action Network Meetings!

Updated Family Action Network Meeting dates!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to kick off our regular Family Action Network (FAN) meetings for the 2026–2027 school year! These collaborative sessions are the perfect opportunity to learn how you can get involved and help shape our upcoming community-building events.

This year, our community will come together for four major school-wide traditions:

• Multicultural Fair – October 21, 2026

• Speaker's Jam – February 24, 2027

• STEAM Carnival – April 7, 2027

• Annual Talent Showcase – June 4, 2027

To make these events a success, we need your unique ideas, energy, and voice. Please join us for our FAN Co-Planning Meetings in the Parent Center from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM on the following dates:

• October: 10/8, 10/13, 10/27, and 10/29

• December: 12/1 and 12/3

Whether you can make it to one meeting or all of them, your participation makes a meaningful difference for our students. We look forward to collaborating with you!
