From Your Administrative Team

Hi Da Vinci Connect TK-8 Families,

We hope you're well! We want to thank you for completing and submitting your first Learning Logs of the year--congratulations! Thank you for your hard work! If you failed to submit your learning log, please note that late learning logs will result in non-compliance letters, and missing learning logs will also require you to enter into our tiered re-engagement process. This process involves several meetings with out Attendance staff to ensure that you are homeschooling and turning in all required paperwork.

Unfortunately earlier this week our 7th and 8th graders had to turn back from Catalina Camp due to large waves from Hurricane Polo. We are trying hard to reschedule, so please make sure to fill out the survey Robin sent out on Wednesday.

We can't wait to see you at Student Led Conferences next week! Please note that SLC's are October 5th-7th, and should be homeschool days for everyone. We also have a PD day on Friday, October 9th. No need to homeschool on that day.

Please see below for a lot of wonderful opportunities, including the upcoming Multi-cultural Fair, a parent workshop series from Magdalena on homeschooling, and a Gameboy workshop for students!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Robin (she/her) and Nydia (she/ her)

Student Led Conferences!

Monday 10/5-Wednesday 10/7--homeschool days for everyone

By now you should have received communication from your supervising teacher about Student Led Conferences! This signature practices happens each semester across Da Vinci Schools, and is a mandatory event for our students/families. Student Led Conferences are an opportunity to put students in the driver's seat and to share about their learning experience with their grown ups. We are excited for your child to share with you about their school day, hear about what's happening at home, and to share what's working/where they need support! Please check in with your teacher directly for any questions about SLCs that you might have. SLCs are a mandatory event at DV Connect and non- participation will be logged and can result in non-compliance letters.

Picture Day!

Monday 10/12 for M/T and Thursday 10/15 for TH/F!

We are excited for picture day--students will take individual portraits, class photos, and our 8th graders will take a special "graduating class" photo on each day! Once photos are completed our photographer will send proofs and a direct link for purchasing! On Picture Day, if your student wants to wear a "nicer" picture day outfit, please have them bring a change of clothes that they can play in for the rest of the day.
