Hello Da Vinci Connect Families,

We’ve really been enjoying the cooler weather this week—it almost feels like Fall!

We want to take a moment to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15–October 15. The National Museum of the American Latino is a wonderful collection of resources, including articles, virtual exhibits, lessons, activities, and more that highlight the profound and ongoing contributions of the Latino community. We encourage families to explore these resources together! We would love to highlight Hispanic Heritage Month at our Multicultural Fair next month- please reach out to Jahmal or Robin if you have ideas!

We also want to give families a heads-up about Monday morning drop-off. On Monday, September 21st, approximately 85 of our 5th and 6th grade students will be departing for Astro Camp. Students will be traveling on two charter buses, which will need to use the sidewalk area in front of campus to safely load students. Please note that parking will be impacted, and our drop-off line will be unavailable on Monday morning from 8:15–9:30 a.m. Please plan your morning accordingly. You may want to allow extra time to park and walk your child to the gate, or make arrangements for an alternate drop-off location nearby where you feel comfortable having your child walk onto campus.

UFLI Workshops!

September 22nd and 24th

Stephanie Lee will be serving as our Parent Educator Support Specialist for the next few months while we work on a long-term solution. She has been both a parent in our community and a teacher, so she is uniquely positioned to offer guidance and support.
