Hello Da Vinci Connect Families,

We had a blast welcoming everyone back to school this week! There were many hugs, smiles, and sweet reunions. We hope that your family shared in the excitement and is settling back into "routine".

As second semester rolls out, we are excited to share more details about our upcoming Parent Educator Conference! Please plan ahead in order to attend with us--learning with each other, growing our instructional skills, and spending time together as a community...what could be better?! Don't forget that our Speaker's Jam is right after PEC. The whole family is invited to share in this community event of spoken word, poetry, and more!

Finally, our Performing Arts program for Spring semester begins the week of January 29th! Signups went out via e-mail earlier this week. Please note that space is limited and once classes are full, sign ups will be closed. Thank you for supporting this new program with enthusiasm!

Nancy and Theresa are providing parent educators the opportunity to ask specific questions regarding Learning Logs and DV Connect supplemental curriculum tools. Please be sure to check your child’s teacher’s Canvas site to review the Supplemental Curriculum available to you this year. Too, please bring a device to make our time together as productive as possible. We will meet on the back patio. We hope to see you there!

Wiseburn Education Foundation Stargazing Night!

Friday 1/26 5:30pm-8:00pm at Wiseburn Middle School

Join our friends at Wiseburn as they partner with Celestron to bring telescopes and other viewing technology for a night of star gazing! This is a free event, and snacks will be available fur purchase.

• Send work that your child can complete independently and quietly, as well a book (or two) to read.
• Remember to pack snacks and water, too.

• MRKT will be at PEC offering a selection of items for purchase.
• If you plan to purchase lunch from MRKT, please use this link to indicate your preferences so they can adequately prepare for the day.
• Keep in mind that MRKT uses a CASHLESS payment system. Please be prepared to pay by credit card, debit care, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Parking & Street Sweeping Information

• Please remember that the front parking lot is for the Wiseburn Preschool families only.
• Connect TK8 families are welcome to park in the back lot (near the field), or at Del Aire park (next door), or in the neighborhood. Thank you for helping us to be a good neighbor 😊
•  Also, keep in mind that there is street cleaning on Isis Avenue, on Wednesdays, on our side of the street.

FAN Annual Rhythm Event: Speaker's Jam!

Wednesday, February 7 | Time: 1-3pm | Location: Connect K8 Campus

The next Annual Rhythm Event "Speaker's Jam" is happening on the afternoon of February 7, 2024. This is a wonderful community building event and opportunity for families to come together and be inspired by our young poets, spoken word artists, storytellers, songwriters, and literary giants. This event is Connect's Signature 'Open Mic' celebration where both students and parents are encouraged to SPEAK and be heard! Families can participate by reading a poem, an ode, a sonnet, an inspiring passage, sharing a creative writing, or demonstrating the oral tradition of spoken word! Sign-Up to participate HERE!
