From Your Administrative Team

Hello Da Vinci Connect Families,

We hope you are enjoying this rainy weather and that you are heading in to a cozy, restful and joyful Winter Break! We want to thank each of you for being part of our community--this is truly a special place, and we are lucky to share it with all of you! We are grateful that you've chosen to partner with us in your children's education, and that you trust us with the most precious people in your life! Our students bring us so much joy, and we are proud of all the ways they've grown and continue to shine.

We've spent this week celebrating, reflecting, playing and dreaming of next semester's experiences. We've also continued our conversations with students around play, body breaks, and access to sports/athletics. Students in Core 4/5 took a survey in class to share more feedback--if you and your student would like to take it at home, you can do so here!

We also want to give a heads up that we will be sending out information and signups for Spring Semester Performing Arts opportunities--likely during the week of the 8th! If this is of interest to you, we suggest keeping an eye on your e-mail inbox in the days before you return from break ;)

Finally, we'd like to wish all who celebrate a Happy Winter Solstice, a Merry Christmas, a Happy Kwanzaa and a Happy New Year! We can't wait to see you all in 2024!

Enjoy a Long Winter's Nap,

Kaitlin (she/her) and Robin (she/her)

FAN Annual Rhythm Event: Speaker's Jam!

Save the Date: 2/14/23

The next Annual Rhythm Event "Speaker's Jam" is happening on the afternoon of February 7, 2024. This is a wonderful community building event and opportunity for families to come together and be inspired by our young poets, spoken word artists, storytellers, songwriters, and literary giants. This event is Connect's Signature 'Open Mic' celebration where both students and parents are encouraged to SPEAK and be heard! Families can participate by reading a poem, an ode, a sonnet, an inspiring passage, sharing a creative writing, or demonstrating the oral tradition of spoken word!
