Dad's Mission = Community!
"Dad's Kitchen is a destination for delicious quality comfort food that is enjoyed in a relaxed environment. We source food from local organic farmers we know and partner with purveyors we trust. We pride ourselves in our dedication to the highest customer satisfaction delivered with a sense of warmth, friendliness, fun, team work, individual pride and Dad's family spirit."
Writing this mission statement was a reminder to our entire staff and ownership that Dad's is passionate about community. We will continue to manifest community building with our outreach fundraiser nights. If you have any questions about how Dad's is helping to raise funds for local organizations and individuals or if you have a cause that needs a host for fundraising reach out to Caitlin at dadscommunityoutreach@gmail.com. #dadslovescommunity
Our next community outreach night is on Monday, September 14th from 5-9pm. We will be raising money for our dear family member, Maria who began chemotherapy on August 24. Maria is not asking you for your help, but we are. In fact, we are asking for Maria to accept help even knowing that all she wants to do is continue to work at full speed during her treatment. Time off from work is necessary while she undergoes aggressive treatment and medical bills accrue very quickly in these types of situations. Our hope is that finances do not become a burden and Maria can spend the next few months focusing solely on her own self care and healing.
Here is what you can expect on Monday, September 14th:
- Dad's will be opened from 5pm-9pm.
- $15 entrance fee provides you with buffet style food for the evening.
- The bar will be opened for drinks to purchase.
- Face painting and glitter tattoos for kids.
- Raffle and silent auction with lots of local donations up for grabs.
- The opportunity to write Maria inspirational notes to provide healing momentum for her as she navigates cancer treatment.
- Our warm, friendly staff donating their time to see you and help raise money for Maria!

Maria has been working at Dad's Kitchen Land Park for over four years and her infectious smile and positive attitude helps make Dad's a destination for anyone looking for a dining experience to brighten their day. This is our opportunity to give back to her, and we really hope you join us!
Some words from Maria:
I've been in the restaurant business for 18 years, and been a server for 11 years. I found that hospitality is work that I enjoy the most. I was diagnosed with cervical cancer August 17th, 2015. For months prior, I had symptoms but no doctor or nurse had been able to detect it. Finally my doctor was able to detect a growth on my cervix and found it was a tumor about 2 inches big, and it has spread to both sides of my lymph nodes.
I've always found that staying positive means looking at the
bright side of things and trying to reach for happiness... Sometimes you do lose hope, and that's okay. There are still so many wonderful things in the world to remind you that life is always hard, but always worth living. I am incredibly blessed with all the gifts in my life. Above all my friends, my co-workers and my family. I am beyond grateful for all of you and your love and affection and support, which I cannot deny give me tears of joy and hope and I love you all. I have incredible support and the most wonderful people surrounding me."
