-
March 3: Rabbi Gordon Tucker on allegations of dual loyalty against Jews in power throughout Jewish history.

Social Action Committee Event
There's still time to register for our next partnership meeting with the Round Oak Missionary Baptist Church. This program should be both challenging and rewarding as we begin to share our personal experiences with our new friends. In order to be true partners, we need to delve deeper.
Members of Round Oak want to know why we care. Why do Jews, and Shaare Tefila members in particular, care about racial justice? What is it about our history that motivates us to fight for justice? What can we share about Judaism and ourselves that will create a comfortable space for developing trusting relationships?
Please join us on February 23rd at 7:30 for a lively discussion as we Get To Know each other and share our hopes and goals for our successful alliance. Every one of us has a unique Jewish experience to bring to the table.

Winer Family Gallery
Though the Art Gallery at Shaare Tefila is not open for visitors, we are pleased to present our current exhibit “Portraits of Spring,” fine art photography by Marge Wasson, via
this catalogue. These portraits are not of people. But as with any portrait, they capture a likeness and seek to convey something noteworthy, memorable, or essential about the subject. You may see a hint of personality, a certain mood, a touch of attitude; you may be struck by the subject’s power, importance, grandeur, beauty, or another unique quality. You may get a sense of serenity, or a big “pow” of energy. Perhaps a trait like shape, form, or texture, or just something unexpected, will catch your eye.
Bring spring to your walls with one of these “portraits” for your home or office. All images are available in a variety of sizes. If you see one that you like, but want a smaller or larger version, or for more information about this work, please contact Marge at marge.wasson@gmail.com. Note that all work is sold framed unless you request it unframed.
To make a purchase, please contact Fran Abrams, Chair, Arts & Interiors Committee, at fran.abrams@gmail.com. A portion of all sales benefits Shaare Tefila.
