PICTURE OF THE WEEK
ARTICLE OF THE WEEK
The teachers were the students this past Tuesday at our full faculty professional development session, led by Ms. Kletenik! As a faculty, we are reading Effective Questioning Strategies, by Dr. Esther Fusco, and reflecting on our questioning in our lessons. Teachers recorded their own questions from a lesson and posted them to our google classroom faculty class. We analyzed our questions and sorted them by literal, inferential and meta cognitive questions. Questioning is the most frequently used and a very powerful way of encouraging students to think deeply and extend their learning. Passionate educators are at heart students. As a learning community we always strive to improve our craft.
