Tomorrow is Packing Morning!
Saturday, July 29, 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
(NOTE: Packing Morning ENDS at 12 noon!)
Msgr. Fraser College - Isabella Campus
146 Isabella Street, Toronto
This is it! Before your Friends For Life Bike Rally journey begins, you MUST attend Packing Morning. This includes all 6-Day Riders, 1-Day Riders and Crew - basically every Participant.
What to expect
  • Arrive early and get your packing out of the way. NOTE: Packing Morning ENDS at 12:00 noon.
  • Register and let us know you've arrived
  • Drop off  a non-perishable food item or items to donate to the PWA Essentials Market Food Bank.
  • Complete any outstanding paperwork, such as medical forms.
  • Pick up your event package, Rider jerseys or Crew t-shirt, and other swag!
  • If you're a 6-Day Participant, make sure your bin labels and licence plate are in your event bag.
  • Pack your gear into your 2 Rubbermaid bins if you're on the 6-Day Ride, stick your labels on each end of your bins, and then load them onto the trucks or vehicle. If you're participating in the 1-Day Ride, load your knapsack or small bag packed with whatever you need for your arrival into Port Hope onto your designated truck.
Tips for Tomorrow
  • Parking around the school is limited. If you can, consider getting dropped off in front of the school if you are coming by car. This is a great opportunity for car-pooling - Facebook post anyone?
  • DO NOT pack your Official Bike Rally Jersey (the red jersey) or t-shirt, licence plate or whatever else you will need on you for Departure Day!
  • DO pack a light for your bike if you're a 1-Day Ride rider, and you plan on riding your bike home at night after we drop you off at Barbara Hall Park (The 519).
  • DO pack any costumes or decorations you'll be using for the week, including something red for Dress in Red Day, decorations for your helmet or hat, and anything you'll need for Night in Shadows.
  • Bring a non-perishable food item or items to donate to the PWA Essentials Market Food Bank such as grocery store gift cards, meal replacements, canned meat, fish, vegetables, peanut butter and so on!
  • We'll remind you again (many times) on Sunday, but when you arrive at Haskill's Farm DO NOT set up your tent within 6 feet of the cliff! With all the rain we've had, we don't need a landslide!
#F4LBR Social Media Challenge
Throughout the week we'll be having a bit of fun with social media. We'll be identifying 5 photo opportunity targets for you. The person who posts the most targets to social media (on Facebook, Twitter, or Instragram) with the hashtag #F4LBR will get a fun shout-out!

Here are your first 5 photo targets for Packing Morning:
  1. You and a Friend For Life!
  2. You and someone NOT participating in the Bike Rally
  3. Your bins or knapsack loaded onto your designated truck or vehicle
  4. Your Official Bike Rally Jersey or t-shirt (that is not packed away in your truck)
  5. If you're a Rider - a photo of you with a Crew member. If you're a Crew member - a photo of you with a Rider
Don't forget the hashtag #F4LBR when you're posting your photos!
