REAR VIEW MIRROR
Some of us spend our entire lives looking into a rearview mirror. We are always wanting to go back to the “might have beens,” or live in the “I wish I hads”. By doing this we fail to see what God has right in front of us.
It is for certain that if we look into the rearview mirrors without looking ahead, we will certainly crash. We cannot go back and live our lives over. We can learn from the past, but we must let go of it in order to press on to the next place that Christ has for us. How sad to stand before God one day and have Him show us what we missed because we didn’t “let go” of the past.
My friends, God has something bigger and better for us than we can imagine. Yes, there are those people and ties to the past that pull us back. Perhaps it was a relationship with someone that was not a Christian and you just can’t let go. You will never, I say never, become what God wants for you if you do not let go.
Perhaps it is a loved one that died, and your heart is grieving and broken because you miss them so much. Don’t let this control your future. God has a new beginning each and every day. Letting go is a choice! We have to choose to forget those things that are behind us and move on into God’s destiny for us.
You can’t make bread from yesterday’s yeast that never rose. Let go and let God! Be blessed.
In the book of Jude that only contains 25 verses, there is a very needful verse. In verse 20 it says,
“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.”
By doing this, verse 21 tells us it will
“keep yourselves in the love of God”
Perhaps you may feel God is angry with you over something you did. If that is the case, then repent, then fill yourself up on the love of God by praying in the Spirit. We absolutely must take time to fill ourselves up in this age. There is so much going on around us to “drain” our spiritual tank my friends. You must stay filled up spiritually. Come aside and pull into his filling station and fill up! He is waiting to fill you to overflowing! Be blessed!
